    £565 using genuine parts... that would be to change the timing belt without dephaser with a new aux belt kit, water pump and coolant flush/change.

    Just have to raise the idle speed to around 1100rpm as standard idle is unstable as hell.

    The clutch is hydraulic so its unlikely that you'd 'feel' a fault with the slave cylinder (which is the part that actuates the pressure plate) at cold if it turns out to be this... this is why we need to try and pinpoint the fault before pulling it to pieces and potentially rebuild a box that...

    The instructions say to allow it to air dry to achieve finish but I put it in to a paint oven to bake off for 2hrs. Honestly impressed with the finish though and the pics don't do it justice. My car will look very dull being all black and silver but I likes it simple. Upper timing cover...

    If its the same with the engine off then its going to be a box issue. If its okay when the engine is off it'll be a clutch/actuation issue.

    Well I've got a graph for the current setup with a nice flat torque curve. I'll have something to compare it to on the 2nd and if its worse I'll cry lol Yeah that Russian RS2'd car did cracking figures until recently. I love the manifold myself but others don't and so refuse to try it.

    Engine off... can you select gears okay? Sounds like a slave fault rather than the gearbox to me.

    Unlikely - CPS wouldn't give a solid red led nor would it flag any fault codes. Solid red means the key is valid but an important system is not checking in via CAN. Normally due to wiring issue/poor connection.
