    Hi Guys, Ben is correct, you can unplug it and try it. On mine, it made absolutely no discernable difference, that is worrying. I have hooked a multimeter to the unit and can see the signal being applied, it also appears to work at idle as forcing activation at idle caused tractor mode...

    Do any of you guys with idle problems have an Ecotek performance decreasing valve fitted ?? Just a thought.. Joe.

    Simon, I would replace the ecu with the std and try it then. Dont let reno service it with the gpn item in place. yes, they can overwite it completely. Can you get another for a Mk2 as I am interested in the fact that it bypasses the raid device (Reno Anti Intruder Device). Joe.

    Hi Scudetto m8. Cant say I have any probs with torque steer at all on the 172. Might be worth checking the tracking and tyre pressures. The suspesion mods will improve turn, response and feel, I am woring on a set of exchange modifyed bottom suspension arms at the mo, will let u know...

    Mike, the way to approach it in the first instance is to (imho) remove the 29F400 rom and read it. replace it with a socket and after copying the rom, put that in the socket. now you need to run map locating software on it (Which I happen to have ) and attempt to lcate the main maps and...

    NO !!!!! the 0.8 figure is NOT accurate, it is a simple guide. there are so many variables to rolling resistance that you cannot use a set figure. The only figure that matters is the one at the wheels.. dont get carried away with inflated or guesstimate figures. Joe.

    hmmmmm. Flushing oil has been around for donys years, so has injector cleaner, so have emulsifiers. none will make any difference to any times on anything that is already running as it should.. you could always try an ecotoec Cs.
