insurance is a funny old thing.
when i got my 182 i was with Churchill.
I did a online quote and it came out to £700ish. I thought great, i can afford that, good price etc etc.
So i rang them up, and asked to change my existing policy (citroen C2) to the new 182.
They said ok, that...
DS2500 are the better pad for stopping power, although the low dust of the EBC green stuff is also nice!
either way you will have a better pad than standard, and seeing as your not a track fiend, either should do the job!
The cams would have to be serisously lairy for that kind of power.
Which would then mean no idle, and certanly no hope of an MOT.
I would of thought Mark Fish would be your best bet for info and availability of parts etc.
Would be awesome tho!
oh, and as for looking silly, thats no worries, do it all the time.
Luckily there are enough people around to sing the BTB's praises even when i do make myself look like a bell! :D

With our...
couldnt agree more!
i am in the same boat. Getting rid of my 'better' Impreza spec-c and will be returning to a 172 cup or 182 cup.
You dont realise how good these cars are, until theyre gone. And i mean in a whole host of ways, performance, handling, MPG, looks etc etc.
cant wait to...
i am pretty sure i will go with the 172 cup, as it is lighter and cheaper etc.
and i do plan to do alot to it (chassis, suspension, brake wise).
Anyone wanna photoshop a few colour schemes??
front mount intercooler, rather than a top mount interwarmer.
with my impreza you can see the heat haze coming out of the vent when sitting still. they are crapola!
want something road legal from the outset. Plus it would aslo be a daily driver, so a Sadev with rebuilds etc etc wouldnt be ideal.
Also i wanna build a car again myself, rahter than buying off the shelf done.
