Compbrake only do one length of hose for all thier kits, and we agree its too long!
We have told them and requested shorter but it fell on deaf ears unfortuantly.
We are looking into shorter hoses tho from a different supplier.
I agree when cold they are not great, but i only found that with literally the first push of the pedal.
Maybe as i had them on for quite a while i just got used to the way they work.
Ideally you would need to find someone with them, and do back to back tests.

Endurance clio's use 4 pots
S1600/JWRC clio's use 4 pots
New 197 has 4 pots
Some 182 track users use 4 pots
All of the above must be idiots, as the cup racers dont use them?!?!?!?!?!?!

calliper has no bushes, its simple two bolts holding them on.
And if they were worn i would of thought it would be a constant problem?
Might be worth whipping the wheels off and taking a good look, pull it all about etc.
Do the brakes lose any power? or do they still work well with or...

But back to the question in hand, checked your wheel bearings etc?
Maybe due to the high temps over such a long period of time the seals etc just wear out/degrade/get fried?
what exactly is esp going to do if your sliding sideways?
its a case of learning how to control a slide etc, rather than relying on some electrics to get you out of trouble!

0-60 - 6.7ish at a guess
Top speed - Rev limiter in 5thm which was a speedo indicated 152ish mph.
Impreza:
0-60 4.5second
Top speed - backed off due to traffic at a GPS 151mph, but car is good for approx 160ish.
