Cheers for the comments guys, tis quite strange how location, lighting and camera can make or break a photo of a car! I messed around with the shutter speed quite a bit and like the darker shots where the strip lighting is more obvious. The pics were taken with an old(ish) Panasonic Lumix FZ7...

Lol, I would question someone that uses '3' and 'III' as different marks! Around specialists and Renault bods I've always used Mk2 Ph1 & Ph2 ans they've always known what I've meant. I've sometimes referred to the phase 2 as the Mk2 'facelift' also.

He doesn't have to know you've gotten a 2nd opinion matey, but I'd be suspicious if someone told me the reason my engine had broken into a million pieces was because I'd over-revved it!

The lights are a straight swap, but they need re-wiring. Easy job, but you'll need the guide to know where each of the wires goes.

Would be good to see some examples of hi-power silver, to see how it differs to normal silver.

No idea, but it's awful. Have had the cable adjusted several times, a new caliper, the discs and pads are pretty much brand new and it's still crap.
