Wouldn't 433MHz RAM show up as 200 on the BIOS?
You don't need RAM that quick mate from what I've read, 4GB of 800MHz RAM would be fine. 1066MHz seems to be recommended if there's some serious overclocking going on.
^+1
I refurbed my own and whilst the priming and spraying job was really good for a garage and rattle can effort, I rushed the sanding and filling process and it left a lot of scratchy areas which bugged me and could have been avoided with a few hours more labour.
I had T1-R's for the whole time I had my Ph1 and ever only bought 4 more. Brilliant in the dry and never had any problems in the wet, but then I don't drive like a pleb on wet roads.
None of this "my back stepped out at 30mph on a straight road" rubbish, though.
Looking nice and shiny mate, good job. Something doesn't quite fit, but it could be the wheels. A dark powdercoat with the diamonds done green as well will look smart. I think I would then lose all stickers for the stealthy look...
If I was looking for one of those then I'd expect to pay £3800+ for that many miles IF the belts had been done, so £3k-ish is a pretty good price.
The engine will need some wearing in though, I bet it's had a lazy life.
Parked up near the entrance, had some small graphics on it so I'm guessing it's enthusiast owned.
I mentioned it was a nice colour to my mate and got the reply "what, red?"... I gave up.
Yeah, me too :(
To be fair though, I've specced up a system and looked at prices at various online stores and can get it elsewhere for £50-odd less (8% or so).
Crackerjack, I'm so glad I got the Cup for these kind of weight-savings! :dapprove:
I'll be selling mine before next winter - this one's been a hard slog with no electrics half the time...
I'd imagine OC is probably leading the custom PC industry in the UK at the moment and, as it seems that it's more popular now than ever (perhaps a little less so with the recession), they can't be doing bad.
You'd have thought a company and forum FULL of PC geeks could fix it, though (joke) ;)
Cheers for the advice, I've not looked into it at all yet but will definitely bear it in mind.
A laptop without the wifi working is about as much use as a chocolate fireguard.
Thanks mate, that's my thinking behind paying the extra. But then, is that just me being impatient!?! There would be nothing more annoying than expecting it all on the Friday to build on Saturday, only for one of the retailers to not deliver (would rather not get any of it than most...).
I'd...
Righty - after much soul searching and price comparing, I can get the below for £730 (assuming that OC delivery is approx £15: I can't access their site in work)...
Antec 300 Three Hundred - No PSU (Overclockers)..............£52.89
Kingston HyperX 4GB DDR2 1066MHz memory (OC)...........£45.99...
Comparing prices between (so far) OC, Ebuyer and a few Dabs bits, OC are a fair bit more expensive on most things. I wouldn't qualify for free delivery as I've only posted a few times in the forums, but I don't think £18-ish for a lot of stuff next day is too bad tbh.
Cheers for the help...
