I presume it's quite a fine textured surface, so may be difficult to build adequate surface tension for tight water behaviour but will still protect.
I wouldn't recommend tough coat for the fact that you leave it to cure and dries white, I would imagine removing from a textured surface would be...
Picked mine up, the blind test sample sounds interesting. Do they ever release details of the un-named samples after all the boxes have gone out should you want to buy more of it?
Wax sample smells like Big Red chewing gum.
Adamm, this was a group buy limited numbers with a little discount...
Do you know what it was Ant?
My car with Reload is pretty dirty now. Beading isn't very uniform but run off when driving and normal sheeting is performing very well. Even had hairy @ss'd builders commenting on it.
The wifes Focus with C2v3 hasn't covered that many miles since application but...
although they're pretty decent quality, £1.50 each compared to £0.34 each is quite different for something that will be thrown away after just one use. Plus buying direct from i4d we get members discount.
So general consensus is that the budget ones will be fine for removing quartz coating...
Looking for a bundle of MF clothes for applying nano sealant to a full car, as they'll be thrown away after I don't want to use anything too decent, but am I going to be compromising the finish or risk marring with cheapo multipacks?
Never bought them in bulk before so they've always been...
As JD has said really.
I used AF Tripple topped with GTechniq C1.5 when I got my bIke in September last year as it was living in a shed during the winter. Privided it's clean, it won't be too bad but depends how damp it is likely to get whilst stored. Are there any stone chips or bare metal...
Both cars are running G1 for approx 2years and water behaviour is a little past its best, have been topping it up with original version C1.5 (this doesn't smear or judder either)
On side and rear windows, and bodywork reload was performing just as well as C2v3
Using C2 yesterday I had one or two spots that dried slightly streaky, some of the panels I did first. I wasn't overly impressed with application, certainly compared to earlier versions.
used reload on my Golf after doing the focus, much nicer to apply. But I think it was Jaff that mentioned it...
will be good to see that
just used C2v3 on the wifes Focus, already wearing several layers of wax so keen to find out how long water behaviour will hold up
thought it didnt spread quite so easily as the original formula, not that it's difficult in any way.
still think it's more glassy than...
But kev's special so those pics don't count! They're old pictures of his original FRP IIRC.
I used EZ with my EP800 on soft non RS Megane paint and tripple by hand filled better
I personally didn't rate ez creme. felt slick but not overly great at filling, not as good as tripple, plus it really affected the durability of the waxes I put over it.
Ez creme is a glaze, tripple is an all in one cleanser, glaze and basic protection , tough cost is a sealant.
So either use ez creme or tripple, you won't see a benefit in using both, then top with Toughcoat
Removing all the grime and ensuring a completely clean surface will make marks and swirls look more apparent and noticeable. The amount of people that say their car looks more scratched after I do a basic de-con and seal compared to how grubby and in scratched it looked before was enough for me...
