We supply F4P 770 vvti ( 1.8 16v ) engines from the new shape laguna to a company that tune them up and fit them to the Proton touring cars ( http://www.mountune.com/ ) these guys tune these to 280bhp so im sure that if we handed them an F4R lump they would see 300 hp easily
I read that - lol.
You always get friction with some people no matter what !! there was higher powered cars there including my mates Scirocco that runs about 450 bhp with Nitrous and he was running the same times as me - i did download the RR graph stating the HP but some people are just...
best to date is a 12.004 @ 126 mph and thats 2 wheel drive :D .... ran a 4.007 sec to 60 mph at GTi festival last weekend. Its getting remapped at Ric Woods this Friday and then a 75 hp Nitrous kit is being fitted next week. Should be running mid 11's by August. The car is road legal and still...
I hate kitted up cars - there toss. When i was 17 i was spinning round in a standard looking MK 1 x reg Golf driver with a 2.0 GTi engine fitted whilst my brain dead mates were sticking fibre glass kits to there XR3i's. Back in 1991 it would leave most cars for dead. Instead of trying to make...
No you cant buy a used key - it will not work.
You will have to buy a virgin plip from Renault - part number 8200067907 £51.05 + vat and a new blade 7701039957 £8.01 + vat.
We programme keys in for £35 so this may work out a little cheaper
I bought my kit from them and used a fitter recommended by them - i was racing the car every weekend and went through about 10 X 11lb bottles before i shot a piston out of my block. Trev at Wizards said if i had done the mods correctly none of that would have happened ?? - this was 4 years ago...
The most important thing is to get bigger injectors and a higher powered fuel pump. Get it mapped up properly ideally with a piggy back ECU & a progessive controller so you can change to and fro when racing. Get the kit fitted proffesionally otherwise your gonna have trouble.
Yes i was mate - On saturday i had the boost wound down with road tyres and was basically playing around with the car getting it ready for Sunday. And yes it was bloody warm on Saturday :D
Mickey T's are the best then Hozier as 2live states. If you dont have a big power car just a set of 2nd hand Michelin ex cup car slicks will be fine - you can pick them up at track days for £20 each and they will last you 6 month on the strip.
Went to Gti International at weekend - fantastic 2 day event which was a lot better than the FCS. Did some quarter miling and 0 - 60mph runs ( 4.007 sec ) shocked a few V-dub owners and made a bit of an impression. Good of em to let me run - thanks lads if your reading...
Sports cats are a rip off - its a scam thats gets kids to part with there money because they are under the idea they are getting extra bhp when in fact the extra bhp is already there and just needs unlocking
Just cut your cat out and weld a 12" inch long, 2" inch wide pipe inbetween - it will cost you about a tenner. If your car is less than 3 yrs old you dont need to worry about the MOT. When the MOT does come round just buy a 2nd hand 172 cat for £100 and use that every time you need an MOT are...
You can lift the steering column out of the rack at the t junction behind the bulk head and line it up correctly but its easier getting the steering laser tracked
