Also check for play on the track rod ends and check the bushes on the anti roll bar - also check that none of Vicky's "electrical toys" havent got wedged in the steering column ;)
Thing is the red top is a vauxhall lump and fits nice and smug in the corsa hole. Ive had to cut my n/s chassis leg out and strengthen the surround just so the n/s shaft will fit. There is a constant wobble as your driving in a straight line.
You can have it for a few weeks to see if you can do anything - its still got the FKS' but they are fine on jordies car ?? the drive shafts are welded up and come out of the box at stupid angles - i think this is the problem
Just want to get the problem sorted and fitting the engine in a car it was designed to go in seems the right way forward. Imagine doing 120mph in a straight line and then someone grabs the steering wheel and yanks it to the left really hard - this is what is happening 2 or 3 times when you...
If there are any susupension / handling specialists out there that want to take the car to see if they can do anything they can ( yoz / fred any contacts ?? )
Ive owned 2 and personally i think there fantastic - the UN1 gearbox is solid and indestructable, the J7R engine is very powerful and can easily & reliably be tuned to 250hp. They drive and handle spot on. In my experience a lot of Renault purists say this was the best car Renault ever built...
Its that bad that when i hit the finishing line at just over 120 im gritting my teeth and preparing to crash - its that bad .... thankfully i havent yet and dont plan on it either :(
Jordies car is arrow straight as the TT lump is designed around the old 1.8 GTi engine so it fits like a glove. Its so much more controllable and driveable than mine although not as fast ( unless he uses nitrous ) but im fitting a 100 hp NOS kit which will take it over 500hp so i want it to be...
Ive decided to pull the lump out of the TT and stick it into a v-dub / seat. The car has become dangerous due to the stupid power its pushing out and the way the drive train is set up. Ive had a few near control losses at high speed and im worried im gonna write it off with me inside it...
The track was piss poor and i couldnt get off the line due to mass wheel spin - i beat both cars to the finish, EVO and the pulsar. You cant drag race on a surface like that
Manufacturers spend millions developing engines and ancileries to give the cars optimum performance, so why go and spend £60 on some tossy old w**k filter just coz its advertised in max power. In my experience 90 percent of performance off the shelf filters dont work.
Even burt runs a...
Not worth buying unless your engine is heavily modded - the higher the power the bigger the regulator required + you will also need bigger injectors. You cant just fit one and make it go faster if ya catch my drift
