Andy is a development manager for AET turbos's. He used to race that 500 hp Maestro that held the title for fastest FWD car in the UK for a while - his brother runs that now.
There was a 1992 FWD 800 bhp civic at Elvington about 6 weeks ago - that span in all gears up to 120mph.....then blew the turbo. If that got traction i think he would take the record
My mate managed to get a 10.8 sec qtr in his FWD rover on Sunday at USC pod. His car is a red 220 rover running 750 bhp - this goes into the records as the 1st and only FWD car in Europe to get into the 10's.

If you buy a used key thats already been programmed in your getting your pants pulled down - it will not work
Just a warning - Renault PK6 gearboxes ( 6 speed ) have a terrible reputation. There poorly built using cheap internals and are always going wrong. A similar box is used in the Laguna 2 and Renault traffic. Renault have recalled 1000's of these boxes and im 100% confident that the 197 boxes are...
IDEA - i read an article about a guy that had his 911 stolen so he put an advertisment on E-bay under Porsche 911 section ( cars for sale ) with a big sign saying STOLEN. He posted all the details about the car and within 2 days a guy rang up saying he had been offered the car but with different...
If you get a bigger diameter pipe it sleeves over the other 2 - done loads of em.
MOT - reverse a courtesy car up to the emissions tester. Re-weld your cat back on. Buy another cat and use that as the decat section - when it comes to your MOT swap it round.
Performance de-cats are a waste of time - remove your cat and cut the section out leaving 1" inch of steel pipe at either end ( incase you ever want to weld it back on ) and then measure the length of cat you have cut out. Then fabricate a section of 2" inch steel pipe the same length and weld...
Keep the money in the bank - you will spend £1200 on your car and it wont be any better + when you come to sell it, it will be worth less modded than in standard trim. Save it up until you can afford something faster.
