Luckily for Kwik Fit, Renault, and alot of garages in general, most car owners don't tend to question the prices they get quoted for work done as most only use the car as a way of getting from A to B...end of.
So...to us this sounds horrendous, and it is, but alot of people don't see it that...
Same here! I went Prolines first. Sharpened the front end but then thought that surely Sportlines would give me the drop i wanted.....well...kind of.
But then it all seemed to go woolly after 2 years so thought it was time to go for coilovers.
Turns out both front shocks were weeping. Thats the...
But how many times did we say you were running them too hot for too long eh?;)
See if you were a bit kinder to them early on they would have survived a bit longer......and then fallen apart on the drive home..:clown:
I think the old girls weren't used to that kind of abuse....they were down to...
This does seem to be the case with much of the critics aiming shots at JMS recently.
Jealousy of someone making a go of an idea they haven't taken on themselves.
This is a good price for someone not wanting to shell out for all the kit and risk cocking things up.
If you can find someone willing to do it for less then go right ahead...but James definitely knows what he is doing so you are buying his knowledge and technical backup as well as the remap.
I love this car. Has to be the ultimate track toy in my book.
That aero kit reminds me of the old F1 ground effect cars. Sliding skirts next?;)
How noticeable is the added downforce?
Did my drivers side lower arm about a year ago...should have done the pair but i was being cheap at the time. Decided its time to do the passenger side now but also going to do Powerflex wishbone bushes at the same time.
I know its an oft repeated question but can anyone confirm whether the...
Its gonna go the same way as the Megane and the old shape Clio....they are bound to leave the very best until the end so im expecting to see a halfcaged, uber light special with some sort of trick diff or amazingly reworked induction system.
You know what Renaultsport are like....
Today at the stoke crossroad lights just down from the spectrum.
Was gonna give you the horn (oi oi) but i was in the work van.
Wagon is looking tidy.:approve:
Its time to get a Sport. If the creaking sunroof has finally worn you down then it proves the car isn't really entertaining you enough to distract you from the niggles.
If my Cup wasn't so much fun i'd have got rid of it years ago just on noises alone!
All cars can pull off on idle as long as you don't jump off the clutch.....but pulling away on idle on a hill is a neat trick.
I can't imagine it will trouble the MOT.
Is this going to be just a gathering in a car park or did people want to eat?
Options are the Spectrum car park, the Travelodge/Premier Inn whatever it is just down from the Spectrum (can get food there) or somewhere like the Jovial Sailor in Ripley.
I seem to have developed the same issue with mine. My fuel light came on tonight with the needle nowhere near the red like is usually should be.
Has anyone found out what this is due to?
I made the mistake of "upgrading" to Shitstuffs and HC discs....never again.
The warning bells rang when i got massive fade on the Isle Of Man last year.
Changed back to Renault OE pads for Snetterton but kept the discs and the improvement was vast.
Jack this is obviously an issue you have with Tom, rather than with JMS as a company as they have not offered the brake bias mod as a service to the public.
Therefore you should be discussing your issues with Tom privately rather than trying to muddy the JMS waters.
After all, they have not...
This is wandering from the original point of this thread. An opinion on a tuners work is solely that. If you have personally experienced the service from JMS then that would warrant you a say in this thread...be it good or bad.
In regards to the brake bias discussion, both James and Tom have...
Love the pics Danny....EXCEPT the godawful one of me mid blink eating chips with some serious helmet head.
Was an awesome day and i was chuffed to bits with the car. Some of the wagons that took part were awsome.
