A girl I used to work with had a corsa with M badges on the sides and rear. She actually thought the car she had was an M power corsa. She had to idea that M-power is to do with BMW!!
Another thing to do would be to join the forum as a fully paid member and check out the guides section. Theres pretty much everything in there you'll ever need for simple jobs on the rs.
I would take the wheel, spacers and bolt out (if possible) then try and get an undamaged bolt in there to reshape the thread. Are you using longer bolts with the spacers?
It wasn't so much the drivers seat that annoyed me it was the passenger seat. Where is not adjustable whenever I sit in it I feel like im really high up. My passenger at Oulton Park last week moaned that his helmet was hitting the roof as well so the extra 10mm lower is perfect.
Did this today. Is one of the best things someones come up with on here for ages. Get it written up properly and submit it in the guides section. I used a 3mm thick washer which is just right to stop the runners rubbing on the carpet.
Makes a noticeable difference to the driving position as...
As above then it could be the exhaust hitting the subframe. Does it only do it when you floor it or does it do it when you smoothly accelerate to 4-5k. Is it a PH1 or PH2 172?
Mine did this on the day of my MOT! The ball had popped out of the joint. As fubar said you will need a torch to see what your doing.
The motor twists of off and will probably pull straight out on the motor theres a ball which clips into the adjuster on the light. I found the best thing to do...
IMO brakes and suspension first as already said.
However I do disagree with people saying not to tune the engine. Yes your not going to get a huge increase in power for your money but theres allot of power and torque to be gained in the midrange which is where the stock engine is lacking...
I thought my prolines handled themselves pretty well on my first trackday last week. More than enough until I actually get good enough to push the car properly.
Would be more concerned about your brake setup if its still stock.
Best thing to do would be to go get them airgunned off then put them on hand tight for the drive back home. Then when back jack the car up and check the springs are located properly and if not have a fiddle. Then just nip the top mounts up when your done.
Make sure the spring is seated properly. As I think someone on here had a similar problem and it was because the spring had twisted out of its seat.
The top mounts are just there to stop the suspension dropping out when you jack the car up or go over a bump. They dont need to be tight at...
If its not got a gasket then go get one from a dealer or make one using silicone gasket stuff. At least that rules it out.
Could also be a sticky throttle cable or return spring on the TB.
