Anyone? I'm thinking of changing the gearbox oil to the castrol epx stuff as its got some comma stuff in it at the moment or am I clutching at straws here??!!
Did my first trackday yesterday so I wasn't particually abusive to the car as I was a total novice. I blipped on down changes and didn't shift too quick on the ups. The car was fine on the 3 hour drive back home but when I nipped out in it today it ever so slightly crunches while downshifting...
I always park in the most remote place of the car park that I can find! Or next to a wall so that I can get the passenger side really close to it which leaves a massive gap on the drivers side for unthoughtful gits too swing there doors into!
I love those cars. Has to have one of the best engines BMW has ever made. I dont like the new V8 thats replaced it. I'll have one once ive become a cs millionare.....
I would recomend a custom remap from fastchip with those mods. You will release quite a bit more power and torque lower down. It made a noticible difference on mine as the matched inlets were making it run a bit lean before the custom map.
I did mine in 3 hours and I had never done one before so I would think a garage that knew what they were doing should do it in at least 2 hours. I'm not sure what the renault book time is though. But allot depends on how fast they work.
True however surely the CFD they did was not engine specific?
As under bonnet conditions and inlet characteristics vary so greatly how can they be sure that the airbox is of an optimal design for so many engines? In which case surely you do have a chance of creating a box thats pretty damn...
Yeah ive got the Espace V6 airbox with the normal filter in it but I just wondered if anyone had tried the actual open type filter that you get the maxogen instead.
Following on from the Espave V6 airbox and itg panel filter idea and bearing in mind the price of a maxogen kit for the 172 has anyone actually tried to replicate the kit just by using an itg maxogen JC60 airfilter as sold on merlin motorsports etc?
I may be wrong but those filters look...
I dont think the ph1 interior is that dated. Simple yet fuctional IMO. I dont want 600 buttons and a fussy dash in a small hatchback (I'm not saying the cup does but some cars do these days and I just think its pointless)
