welding torch.. heat the bottom coil just as it starts to rise (Use a plumbers heat shield).. the spring will bend.. as the height is obtained.. remove the heat.. simple ! Joe.

Eddd m8.. if the bush(s) are of the hollow or flanged type... get some silicone window fram sealant.. clean the bush, then fill the spaces inside the bush with silicone.. costs a few quid only and you get superb rally bushes.. Joe..

Dash lol.. Washing machine parts... ... I did a conversion on a VIVA to take a ford engine and box (Kent Xflow) the gearbox support xmember was finally sorted with a washing machine drum clamp (as used for transprtation) !! It was still fitted 2 years later and never failed.. hee...
