Yeah thats also something to take into account but i've driven Clares 182 FF and mine feels more eager to accelerate.
Top end you could say hers feels like it would have the legs on mine.
She was sceptical until she got put on the insurance on mine at the end of last month and took it out for...
You really need to drive a 182/172FF and a 172/182 Cup back to back to appreciate how much faster the "poverty" spec cars feel.
Those who harp on about there being "not much in it" haven't driven any other sports apart from their own.
Don't take it to heart Craig lad....at least you provide an honest opinion...even if it is negative!
Your posts should come with a disclaimer...**WARNING** THOSE WITH A SENSITIVE DISPOSITION LOOK AWAY NOW!
;)
Man its unlike any other Lotus...belieeeeve me! The only thing it shares with a road going Exige is the chassis...thats it!
Everything else is pure and utter race car.
No sh*t sherlock!! Give this guy a medal.....his observational skills are quite amazing:clown:
Some people need their legs chopping off......and then beating to death with them.
Hope you manage to get it sorted out without costing too much money!
The reason we got that in was because we had a guy wanting to see the most hardcore car Lotus Motorport made.
He saw it, liked it, decided it would replace his current track car (a racing Ferrari 360) and then went up to the factory and bought a brand new one...at 130K!
He also has a 2-Eleven...
Blimey...i didn't know we had an ad on Pistonheads for that! Its been in the showroom long enough..:o
Had to run a microfibre over it today...was covered in dust!
Was a mission gettin it in there thats for sure....ground clearance on the splitter is about an inch...inch and a half max.
Looks lush! Love them in black....starlight is it?
Had one of the British GT Special Editions in today in the same colour with the yellow stripes and the Cadena stickers...look the proper deal!
I was thinking i might just collar the Wurth rep at work on Monday, but thanks for the tip Fred.
So use the original nuts? Would some M8 nylock jobbies do the job if im buying new bolts?
Looking forward to razzing around the IOM with you Jord....didn't realise there had been so much work involved with this!
I still think its too bloody low tho...;):)
Untrue! Im more keen to go to a store and buy the number of bolts and nuts i need instead of having to bulk buy a box of 60!
Only problem is im not really sure where the hell my local "nuts and bolts" store is...:o
Can you really pick these up from B&Q??!
Mr Ben P has recommended 12.9 grade 50mm M8 Cap bolts to bolt my soon to be delivered Cobra subframes into the car.
Been looking on Fleabay and there are lots of M8 Cap bolts but no real sign of 12.9 grade...what i am finding is A2 - Grade 304.
Is this anywhere near to the same grade?
Any...
I feel your pain on the shock side....mine failed in December due to a major shock leak....something that occurred on the day of its MOT as i had the car on the ramp at work the day before to check it out, and there was no leak!!!
Not had any issues personally. Mum did when her car was written off.....but then they valued it at a grand more than we were expecting, so with every cloud...!
I did have to call them up when my renewal came thru tho....they wanted to charge me nearly exactly the same as they did last year...
I pulled out in front of a 172 Cup coming along Ripley high street heading towards the A3 London bound at about 4.15 ish today.
Was in a burgundy Exige:cool:
Im beggining to really like the new Impreza.
Looks like a bag of cack in 2.0 and WRX form but the STi looks the real deal.
What a beautiful thing difference of opinion is.....
