Nice work Mark. How come you went for the V1's instead of V2's? Just curious ;)
Any decent synthetic oil (5w40) engine and 75w90 or 75w80 GB will be fine. Brake wise, dot 4 super works well, but not sure how it would fare with endurance. 5.1 might be a better bet.
Have I missed somewhere...
true that! Best of both world. Not sure what the prices are like on 15's. Should last a bit longer than toyos during normal day to day, especially with the beast pulling it.
lol how the hell did that get sucked in? Must have been a mechanic doing what surgeons do leaving tools behind. No way that would suck thought the CAF pipes surely :S
make sure you do a search mate. They have been covered soooooooooooo much. Have a look regarding what's required, ie.if you buy a second hand one, you need a licence to unlock it. things like that really. They are good for the money though.
14micron :S the machine must have ran out of paint tbh. Either that or it's been polished to death. As said, polishing isn't as hard as some make out. If you use a DA polisher, you're less likely to cause damage. Saying that, so long as you don't go crazy with pressure while using the rotary...
you can do, but for the price of them it makes sense to just buy a new one. Make sure you don't mix up the order the HT leads go back btw, and make sure the plenum seals properly. Enjoy :) Oh and make sure you use platinum NGK plugs.
either way you'll have to do welding, so it's either a case of mocking something up to suppose the back, or try and reattach the old pieces (i'd imagine that would be a pain though)
