also the way it drives depends on the cams you use.
and as said how its setup.
i used to run a throttle bodies saxo VTS, ran smoother and better than any car i have been in.
mainyl becuase it spent a good amount of time on the rollers, in the hands of someone who knew thier stuff.
those are some great times!!
Is the Tuner GP still a pi55 taking 500 quid to enter???
Might see the Shed Motorsport boys there next year.
Oh, and what tyres are you using David?
a bit of a Marmite colour really.
I used to like it , but the more i see it, the less i like it.
but then so many of these colours dont come out too well in some pics.
Inferno can look awful in some pics, and great in others!
That cage is the Safety DEvices one to Mark Fish's spec, you can run it with all the standard interior still in.
but as spotted, to use the glove box, you need to cut a slice off it, or not use it!
ah right, wasnt too sure fred!
as for the track day, will have to see about that one, but it will be good once a few of us get the chance to mix it up!!!
there is no such thing as a true bolt in cage, as every bolt in cage still needs plates welded to the car.
Mark Fish wise... 182 cages are around 750, or if you want him to fit it around 1200 quid mark. As its not as easy or straight forward as some people think.
It doesnt really matter...
i sthat stainless steel and aluminium?
evidently not a problem here, as Compbrake make all thier discs and callipers like that.
As for fitting a Mk1 172, not too sure to be honest, as not sure of the difference between the hubs with mk1's and mk2's. Would have to try and see!
As far as...
CompBrake only supply Hawk brake pads (used in Nascar, Indycar etc). But we are looking into other pads, as you say, they look like a well used design.
Hawk Pads are 83 pounds a set, so in line with standard calliper pads (DS2500's etc). Disc prices would need to be confirmed, but then its...
i was waiting for someone to ask about the lack of corrosion seals!
yes they are sealed and Compbrake callipers do not require dust seals, as the caliper body is a hard anodised aircraft grade aluminium and incorporates stainless steel pistons, so therefore there is nothing to corrode...
having been part of the saxo scence for the last 6 years, i have seen many supercharged cars using GMC's kit. Infact my mate has a s/c VTR using thier kit.
whilst the power gains are impressive, i am yet to see one that runs consistently. There is always soemthing breaking on them, whether it...
well, its finally ready.
Shed Motorsport 4 Pot Brake Kit, designed exclusivly for us by CompBrake.
Kit uses a 4 Pot CompBrake Pro Race 3 calliper, with a 295mm x 24mm two peice disc.
Calliper is constructed from aircraft specification hard anodised aluminium, whilst the two peice disc...
is that not the same engine as above, on ebay? just the JDM version, ie different management?
or do they use different cams etc etc?
usually hate jap cars, but wouldnt say no to a DC5!!
Ali - dont Integra DC5's come with around that figure? as JDM Civic's come with around 220 bhp.
on another note, a friend of a friend has the type R conversion in his Elise, apperently its 'rapid'!
also SWAT speed have just done a conversion kit for the Citroen Saxo, which involves a...
cant help but notice there is still 5 days to go on it, so will probably end up around the 2k mark!
i like the sellers use of the words 'massive torque', cant say that vtec engines are known for thier massive amounts of torque!!
