you need to clean it the metal magnetic sensor gets covered in grime stopping it from working proper

its easy i have changed them and i dont have washers or the self adjusting mechanism they fit in the standard place 3 x 10mm bolts all you have to do is take the front bumper off. or try one of the many conversion kits around starting at around £250

sounds like its lost some compression either get the compression tested . or it could be a ignition prob ie: coil / lead / plugs

make them brighter? then you can dazzle every on coming car?

timing belt at 36k? its the aux belt that needs to be changed at 36k or 3 yrs and the cambelt at 72k or 5 yrs

The 172 and 1,2 have the same 75A alternator so go for a 172 one as has said if you have some heavy ice then get a DCI one

ive put my temp sensor down where the oil level sensor used to live but it needs to go down around 5 inches to get to the oil. there are sump senders but if your cars low then wouldnt bother. not seen the sandwich plates , how much are they?
