Lol, cheers Dan. Is it manly to look forward to a nice day so I can spend hours pampering it!?! Of course I will also show it some p**n, let it drink beer and vandalise some bus shelters...
^Yay! Nice dude. So, how many silver Cups do we have on here then? There's been 3 turn up in about 2...
Cheers dudes, no plans really as I want to keep as standard as possible seeing as it's got the rarity factor. A few chips and nicks that I'll tidy up and a little dent that needs removing but no changes.
My plate will go on, and I may fit some silvervisions!
Picked it up yesterday, am so glad to be back in a Clio!
Was hoping to give it a good clean today, it certainly needs attacking with the clay, but the weather didn't allow. So a quick wash will suffice until next weekend!
Yeah, Jeffs Werkstat Acrylic is highly recommend for it's protection and also ease of application. Just spray on and wipe off. Think I'll be getting some as my next sealant of choice.
Sorry, yeah, a good polish is worth its weight in gold. Removing swirls and light scratches from any colour paint is always going to improve the appearance.
However, a wax will do nothing to fix / hide swirls and I consider a budget wax/sealant, say AG EGP, will deliver similar results on...
I really like this, it's unique and different and is slowly pulling the whole image off.
As said, I'd seriously lose the stickers, and get the boot smoother by removing the badges and lock. EDOT: I'd also get some spacers on the rear wheels... get those puppies out!
But, definitely going in...
I think they've released too many variations too quickly and are running out of ways they can take it. As said, dropping more power in the form of a turbo would be fun.
Brill first car!
I know everyone's saying it, but they all speak with experience mate - so many new drivers have shown their pride and joys off on here and then come back on a few weeks later with pictures of mangled RS'.
Focus more on making it look great than going great for the time being...
Nice, I like. Not normally a fan of the twin exhausts, but it's sat nice and tight below the bumper so it pulls it off I reckon. :)
Are those 'Ford' logos on your plates!?!
Can get a good finish off of silver, but you won't see a great difference between budget polishes and waxes and the expensive stuff. Depending hwta you use, and the paint on the car, you can get either a really glossy, reflective wet look silver or a flatter, flake-popping finish. Both are nice...
Just the way it happened really. Viewed several blue ones over the week and all had something wrong with them, was about to give up for a week or two when I noticed this on 'trader. Didn't really fancy another silver Clio but thought I'd at least have a look at it because it was fairly local to...
Yeah picked it up today, tbh the numbers are so small in real life that i checked the badges were there and that was good enough. Should I have knocked £1000 off for a wonky '2'?
Sorry I posted.
It's pretty much impossible to avoid swirls completely unless you don't touch the car whilst washing... it is entirely likely that swirls have been induced through washing before the car even got to your dad though.
You'll add more significant swirls through poor technique and I suppose...
Not particularly rare compared to the rest, there were 934 Titanium Silver registered, followed by 117 Black. Then 116 Blue, 99 Iceberg, 60 Red and just 31 Yellow. Obviously there were also 172 'Exclusives' in Scarab Green.
Not sure how many Y plates are around, my guess would be not many at...
Re: 182 Cup Progress Thread!
Cracking stuff mate, love that cut down plate...
I'd go for white turini's if you're going to change from silver, it'll work with the stripes better than anthracite will.
Oh, and the Airfield Meet is more than just annual! ;)
Just been on the phone to the husband again, he thinks it might not have been done, as the separate 'bit' for timing belts has not been stamped. He says that we can either negotiate on price to account for this, or he can get it done and MOT'd (due in August) and make the price less negotiable...
Lol, for the price it looks like I might be getting this one dude, I'd be mad not to take it. Higher miles, but less than what you must have paid for your's...
If it falls through though, I'll be on you like Alan on Ali.
