Titanium is the most common silver on the ph1 172's, although some later ones were made in Iceberg.
The ph2 172 are all Iceberg.
The 182's are all Titanium.
I love the flake pop you can get out of Titanium, but Iceberg is a nicer 'everyday' colour...
Looks good, not sure if I'd use the arty RS and headlight pics though. Think you may be better of with a couple of side-on and interior ones instead. :)
Lol, sorry dude, have heard it more than once this week!
Scrutinised the service history and made sure it was HPI clear, so think it's more than likely just been blown over at some point. No obvious colour difference and there's certainly enough stone chips to assume the current one's been on...
Simsy... is this Mr Ry? :)
EDIT: You know what... I don't think it is. I happen to know someone that's seling their '6' for a possible 172. But their PH advert is different I think!
Thanks for the input... I did say 'I guess'.
I was always under the impression that the throttle response on FBW was that little big slower than cable...? Do you have any ideas why it might feel more controlled at lower revs?
Well at least I know she's beading nicely:
Just had a downpour... torrential wasn't the word!
No plans for it, they're unique enough to not need changing IMO. I may get some silvervisions as I'm not a fan of the fried egg look, but that will be about it. I'd love an aftermarket stealth...
Lol: "I want tha' one...". (EDIT: To Tom's post...)
Cheers Justin, replied. :)
Cheers Pettsi, I notice your on the look-out for a 182? Can't go wrong with one of the Trophy's for sale on here!
Hi mate, cheers, I'm loving being back in Clio ownership!
Don't know how your ph2 fares against the ph1 but I think they're very different beasts to drive. The Cup feels like it's not been given a particularly hard life, so is nice and tight, but feels really planted and solid. It doesn't feel...
Fruit Salads: that's what I'm chatting about... Tom you can keep your Army n Navy.
We'll sort out transport bone, I have been toying with the idea of converting my replica into a mobility van with wheelchair ramp rear access and high roof in the back.
You can try using Megs scratchX to see if it'll shift it, but you're probably going to need it machine polished mate. As said, it marks the clearcoat so will need it polishing back.
Sounds good mate, I can see you and Tucks comparing arm injuries. Whoever rides with me will have to be snack dispenser and CD change-man... I fear your backseat passenger-ness may inhibit that somewhat, but we'll create a solution.
I'm enjoying my new-found ability to picture wh0re with the best of them a positively enlightening experience! :)
Gave the Cup the works today - clayed from roof to skirts, scratchX'd a couple of light scrapes, SRP'd it all and then used up the last of my EGP. It was at this point I remembered...
I don't necessarily agree with that... yeah it means you've revved to far, but only by abour 200rpm, which is a nat's arse-hair away from "optimum change" rpm in 1st and 2nd gear.
... what should I invest in next? I've not done any research for too long!
Having not bought any new cleaning stuff for ages, my trusty AG combination of SRP and EGP is finally used up. I have some SRP left, and think I shall continue to use this as I've always found it's masking properties to...
I know you're a one-armed bum bandit at the moment mate, but would it be better off just to give it a quick wash every week or two? If it's not being driven then it'll just need the dust washing off and the engine fired up to keep from cobwebs settling...?
