£12 each side!?! That's nuts. I couldn't mind paying a couple of quid for a single number, as the 'Cup' badge is firmly stuck in place. But having to pay £25-odd for just a couple of '2's is crazy.
The lack of ABS on Cups is overhyped IMO.
As said, as long as you don't drive like an idiot and realise that it'll take you a bit longer to stop, especially in wet / icy conditions, then just account for this in your driving and how much space you leave between cars.
Welcome, you should be able to get a good example for your budget mate, the 182 prices have been falling like nobody's business recently.
As said, far too much info to provide in just one post, but if you become a member then there's some great info and guides available to you. :)
Welcome :) That was sooo going to be my car, but decided the travel was just a bit too far and impractical without being able to get any time off work!
Lol, have a read of this thread (all 10 pages of bickering) and then see what kind of arguments your question could cause!

As said, sounds like a dodgy electrical connection under the passenger seat. Have a look under there and you'll see wires just running across the back of the seat... not the most protected!
Option 1 for me, I don't really 'get' the second one...?
I've never had any hassle from other motorists or police about my plate C2EBO, despite potential 'c0ck-factor' or illegal spacing.
I'm sure this was picked up as an issue on my cup, that was serviced on Monday... "50% separated" I'm sure the notes said - reliable, reputable garage too.
IF this is the case, how much am I looking to sort?
Will they have your other wheels available as a reference point, or just the two that need refurbishing?
Also, are the ones that need refurbing already in this colour, or are they changing colour as well as getting refurbed?
It could be pretty difficult to prefectly colour match the refurbed...
I'll wait for Rich to appear, but "the best" is a helluva lot more than Dodo prices!
Value for money, that's another matter... Dodo are very good vfm. :)
Aye, not planning on doing any correction, I've just always found the SRP & EGP punches well about it's price bracket but, since it's running out, I may as well see what else is about!
I'd recommend not using it on anything other than your windows mate. One little bit of grit caught in that blade, and you'll have a scratch the length of your car!
I picked up my Cup last Sunday and averaged 42.5 on the drive home.... mainly D-Carriageway with a bit of A -road.
Welcome, as said, become a paid-up member if you're serious and you'll have access to loads of useful help and information. :)
Well I just think that when Cups become even more affordable, people will avoid the CatD ones as they can get a non-crashed/repaired one for small money anyway...? I know if I had the choice of buying a normal ph1 172 for, say £3k, and a CatD ph1 172 for £2k, I'd go for the normal ph1. The CatD...
1: Can you get me a job? I have soft gums and big lips if it helps...?
2: If you haven't got a set budget, then I'd probably fancy a Trophy, especially if you want to carry on track action but not in the Vee. Failing that, a 172 Cup. I'd not bother with a CatD; cheap at £3.5k, but will only...
