Not ideal even as a temp measure as the wire will get warm, melt the plug and potentially start a small fire. I've seen people even try this with domestic wire and it still melts the plug and runs the risk of fire. Fix it right or don't fix it at all.

Check the fuses first but its more likely going to be the speed control resistor pack that has died. Mick

Without going in to what, why and how a thermostat works... Drop the new stat in some water which covers the unit fully. Bring the water to boil and once the boiling pan water reaches 89 degrees the stat will start to open. When it does pull the stat out and watch it slowly close. (FUCKTARD...

Yes, its just general moisture in the system which has built up over time. Take it for a properly long run and it should start to get better.

Its the seals that tend to be shite (especially with the QH kits). Deffo use a genuine kit but always test the stat in a pan of boiling water before installing it as I've had a couple from Renault in the past two months simply not open. Mick

It depends what you do with your phones I guess. I do alot of email and access Renault and business intranet services so I'd regularly go over that 1gb limit but I'm a business user with a small tv in my pocket. I guess joe bloggs using gmail and facebook wouldn't need anymore.
