I know but you asked for advise and i said it would still be prudent to have it checked properly as it *could* be something else not it *was* something else.
If you want to take a gamble thats where I'd put my money but I prefer to know rather than guess.
If it were me I'd want to run some quick continuity tests on the effected circuits (in your case CC and Horn) with a DMM and that'll tell you without a diubt if the unit is ballsed.
Just remember it doesn't contain a head gasket or bokts though. You'd be better off with this:

Its the main spiral cable unit in the steering assembly which all wheel based functions route thru (SRS, horn, cruise). Luckily on the X65 it can be bought and replaced without having to change everything... think it retails at around £67 new.
It did but it wasn't interpreted correctly. Which "circuit" was at fault and was it showing up as an open circuit, short circuit, etc?
Most cases like this are fixed by replacing the clockring assembly but every now and again an interesting one pops up with continuity issues between the column...
Just because you haven't done anything to the wheel doesn't mean the SAS isn't throwing up errors. You've also got an SRS light on so have you considered the two issues maybe linked as they both route via the clockring assembly?

For the price of them in scrap yards now i don't bother anymore (we pay £7-10 for them gaurenteed no deployment). Just lock it then re-write the vin in one piece of software then fit it, back to CLIP to reconfigure it when its fitted and free the triggers.

Core plug issues are very uncommon especially on the current platforms since the introduction of modern coolants (such as type-d) which are chemical based containing anti-corrosion inhibitors. Some people still insist on using water or water based coolants without ethelyn glycol as its base...
It depends on the year/spec of the vehicle though and towards the end of the X65 they fitted what was in stock.
Have you looked at the actual rear reels yet to see if they are infact charged reels? It coukd be that someone has tried to fix the issue by installing an SRS ECU from a different...
Buy a quaility set but what you change is up to you. Normally a headset will contain everything you need to fully refurbish and replace the cylinder head...
... so thats the main compression gasket along with manifold gaskets, camshaft seals, valve stem seals along with any additional ancils...
Bad earth!
Check the main strap in the passenger front arch is intact. If so, take it off and wire brush the s**t out of the mounting points (even if it looks clean) then replace. If not intact, replace.
Try again

So whats the question Sven?
It needs the crash data removing from the existing SRS ecu or it needs the ecu replacing. Then you need to replace the spent components and reconfigure the ecu to suit the hardware.

Its not a simple repair Adam, its a pretty huge job which will most likely require the replacement of the crankshaft (I don't like regrinds).
The cheapest method woukd be to replace the entire engine then the next option would be to replace just the bottom end with second hand assemblies. This...
Assuming there are no faults with wheel targets or sensors here...
This *normally* happens on the Clio III/Megane III when some numpty bleeds the brakes incorrectly. The ABS/ESP modules on these vehicles require pressure bleeding and doesn't like the gravity fed one man bleeds most garages do...
The best course of action would be to plug it in as it could be related to the brake switch circuit, it is common afterall. It could also be the SAS (Steering Angle Sensor not the boys from 22) as mine did this after putting an aftermarket wheel on for a few days and it turned out to be the boss...
The sulphur smell is unburnt fuel burning off in the CAT... this is why the management light is flashing rather than on solid as it is warning you that the fault has potential to damage/destroy the CAT.
Re: iOS 6.1 is out
But its obviously not a carrier specific issue is it? I understand how the various network operating range can effect the devices battery but Apple force their methodology on others not the other way so im honestly confused as to why this keeps happening.
I really hate...
Re: iOS 6.1 is out
Why is it Apple cannot get iOS updates right? Not an anti-fan boy kicking but a genuine question?
Battery life and signal are two very important areas for most smart phone users so why dont they beta test thoroughly before final release?
