If we could facebook style "Like" on here this would get me clicking. Why Renault thought blue plastics were a great idea I'll never know and the silver bits just scream 1998 to me (don't work/massively dated).
Engine running and disconnect the jets one at a time. If the engine note changes for the worse the injector was working. If you unplug one and it makes no difference... BINGO!
As above. The panel cannot move the cogs as its merely a control unit. You will need the steppers and to add it to the canbus so it actually works... then you'll need CLIP to configure the network.
Really NOT worth the effort
You will need to change the heater box as well as the panel as the twistie type uses steel wires to move bits where the climate uses stepper motors to move them for you.
You will also need to do some wiring as the main electrical earth and CAN signals route via the climate panel. Just leaving...
So what is the RS Tuner telling you the cause of the lights is? Check your seat belt anchors to especially the height of them cos I bet one is lower than the other.
If its heat soak thats effecting it simply cleaning it won't do anything, it'll need replacing.
I believe Laine was selling a new, updated part with loom recently.
Our tCE does it and I've had loads in for various services that do it to. Ours is the clutch position switch and some silicone spray normally stops it for a month or two.
Just remove the switch from the pedal assembly and see if it stops. If so either replace the switch or do what we do and...
I couldn't have him rolling round on cracked cast wheels cos it's pretty dangerous, he's a pretty good mate (still a massive bender though) and tbh I'm starting to get sick of hoarding parts... and Fred is going to tax me for a proper exhaust at the end of the week to :-) #alldonationswelcome...
Exactly and I actually lol at the "enthusiasts won't..." comments. Agreed, they probably won't buy it but then is this purely because the car has two more doors and a sequential box OR is it really because they were never going to buy a new car anyway and are just looking to moan about the RS4...
It sounds like an H02 fault but ideally it needs to be looked at properly to see whats happening (or not) when you press the loud pedal.
Some places don't actually have a clue and just want your money. Others are more interested in actually helping you so do your homework next time before...
I asked our MOTer to look in to it today with VOSA and even he said "utter crap"... but thems the rules I guess.
Looks like an MOT wheel is gonna be a must for some of you now (runs to put two up forsale) :)
So take it to court if you feel that strongly about it and contest the points/spot fine. Good luck arguing against two traffic officers though.
Did they have any video evidence by the way? Normal
Yeah and that wouldn't be admitting to driving dangerously in any way at all. With Police officers, even the complete tools that make every day a bad day, there is only one way to deal with them and that's politely.
Even if they get in your face and say they made your Mum squeal last night...
