Back of the inlet manifold to the brake servo... its a thick plastic looking pipe from the right side of the coil pack that dissapears off behind the bulkhead lining.
Am in right in saying that by removing safety items originally fitted at factory you are technically invalidating the vehicles type approval?
We all knew the day would come so time to get yourselves an MOT steering wheel. If you've got resistors or had your SRS configured correctly then you...
I've not heard of anyone playing this card yet as its a bit "grey" but using the "what about cars that didn't have airbags" isn't a valid argument as they were made in an era when they weren't a legal requirement. The X65 unfortunatly was so technically you have to have them where Renault...
Honestly I can't wait to get it mapped and rag it around Bedford in July. Its transformed how the car drives although the previous map was terrible especially as it was still warming up.
Yes the RS2 has been on a few weeks now and its off to RS Tuning on Tuesday for a proper remap as i've just I fitted cams to it today (hence painting a few bits to whilst the oppertunity presented itself).
Loads told me to leave the 2118's in anthracite but I couldn't. I personally hate black...
Firstly, ignore DF080 (for now at least). The dephaser circuit will not work without the camshaft sensor input and priority should be given to DF119.
I've changed a few CPS on the 197 F4R which has fixed these BUT I've also had a couple that needed a dephaser also.
Ideally you need CLIP here...
Fred, i can't see how it woukd be possible as the Siemens Sirus 34 (on the DBW firmware) doesn't have a physical pinned input for a TPS only pedal track 1 and track 2 from the potentiometer.
The only way I can think it could be done in the case of the X65 would be to run the V6 input switch...
Cannot be done on a phase 1B/2 Sirus 34 unit i'm afraid as they're "pinned" and deigned to run drive-by-wire even if you managed to re-flash the unit with Ph1 software then there would be the additional wiring work. You could maybe do it with a decoded Phase 1 Sirus unit and a engine bay loom...
I'll do the OP a swap for the Nexans I've inherreted on my new rims (which I've got to run until next week when my replacements arrive). I've lost all faith in my car now and abosultly hate it.
Ahahahaaa thats a good one. No, unless they're completely fekked or are showing an open circuit they don't always trigger a code on this generation ecu.
As above, 100% not the by-mode valve causing your fault.
I run a RamAir also and know it is strangling the car. Its being swapped for a pipercross shortly though as I'm at RSt next tuesday for a proper remap.
The standard item can flow for 210hp according to the PX tech lit... the RamAirs seem to suggest 150hp
Perk of the job I guess but an oil and filter change on an RS2 car isn't fun either. What was the simplest of jobs (oil filter) is now worse than on a Mk1 16v
Personally it's a must change part as they leak not to mention you normally habe to destroy them to get them out intact. If you try to re-use the non genuine/beta-seal units they piss oil out so just change em.
I think he was talking about what we call the "idiot marker" being wrong on one of your project thread pics... its a common mistake and you won't be the last to make it if that's the case. You can turn the tensioner setting point to 12 but the notches dont always line up and this is the most...
