My radiator looks a little sorry for itself so I was thinking of fitting one of these.

Anyone got one?
I like the DS2500 compound and used the pads on a few cars. They'll be going on the front of the Clio that's for sure but is it worth fitting them to the rear?
I was just about to order 4 x 195/50-R15 Yokohama AD08 at £72 each and noticed the same size Toyo R1-R for £58.50 each.
The R1-R are softer (faster wearing) 140 treadwear vs. 180 on the AD08. Not as fuel efficient G vs. F for the AD08 and the wet braking isn't as good C vs. A for the AD08.
But...
Nothing wrong with a 3 door and kids, I find they are better in the rain as you can get the child strapped in whilst sitting on the front seat tilted forward :)
And in a rear facing seat you can put them in through the boot!
I want to fill out my arches a bit without detrimentally affecting the handling, I don't mind improving it.
I was thinking 16mm fronts and 5mm rears. I don't want to go more than that really. I could also fit 12mm fronts.
That's how I had my old car setup, the only problem I had with it was the throttle on the car was a bit too twitchy. However back it off a tad if the power is too much and away you go again. Power when you want it :)
Is it hard to do? The ones on my ph1 have had a nasty spray job and look naff. I was thinking of replacing them with some silver Ph2 mouldings with carbon bullets
I noticed a post from a while ago saying these don't fit http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/OZ-RACING-GENUINE-CENTRE-CAP-BADGE-M582-55MM-/300854428400?pt=UK_Cars_Parts_Vehicles_Wheels_tyre_Trims_Trims_ET&hash=item460c5242f0
But the part number and 55m diameter matches up
Re: mintys 172 turbo
What is the driveability like? I'm saving for the same conversion. I'm more concerned about it being too torquey giving torque steer, wheel spinning etc.
Picked my phase 1 172 today and it handles really well but it's a bit high and there's a too much bodyroll for my liking.
I'll be getting some polybushes and a Whiteline RARB but I need to choose a set of coilovers.
I'm after some coilover for more lows but rather than just going low I want...
Re: Ph1 172
Well I picked it up today and I don't regret it. What a great little car it is, a bit slow compared with what I'm used to but the handling and the car in general is really good. I'm impressed!
I'm off to collect this in the morning. 86k miles and FSH, Renault service inc. Belts, waterpump and depahser done at 81k.
Plans are coilovers, Whiteline RARB, polybushes and turbo kit. I'm not going to go very far with modifying it. The turbo kit will be fitted after my wife has used it...
I fancy a pair of these on tilting frames (I need to keep the rears in)
Has anyone fitted them? I'd like to see what they look like
Also is there much of a weight saving between the standard seats and fixed back buckets?
