Mine got a proper run on Sunday with some of the guys from the Kent And Sussex Mini Club and despite frequent forays into the 7.5k zone i still didn't drop below 38mpg!

You may find that there are alot of Unfamiliars.....folk with Sport's but no real clue about what they have under them! Flash and wave at them alot....its worth it for the puzzled looks you'll get.

No actually engine braking is a side effect of coasting whilst the car is in gear....in other words, coming completely off the throttle when gravity is helping the car carry momentum. In this context (i.e ways to bump up MPG) coming completly off the throttle whilst the car is still in gear is...

Yeah but think of it like a dog. All these clean cups are like pedigree show dogs...crufts types. Yours is the scuffy mutt that chases cars, pisses on the rosebush and bites the postmans ankles....hehe.

Mine usually sits around the high 30's to low 40's. Its not difficult to drive hard some of the time and still get a decent MPG....just takes brains when driving normally! Avoid late braking, and do a lot of coasting (thats taking your foot off the accelerator when not needing power...not...

Have no fault with the Conti's but the difference between a brand new Conti and a half worn Conti is very noticable. The front hooks up so much better now i have new ones on the front.
