I tracked down my current braking combo for pretty good money.
EBC Greenstuff pads from Ebay for £49 delivered and Brembo High Carbons from GDI for a bit less than the next best price.
Haven't bothered with braided hoses but its down to personal preference.
As above, on the northbound carriageway near Burpham last night.
Looked as if it had private plates and Anthracite wheels but then again i did have my sunglasses on...
Maybe buying a 2nd hand 6 month old Stealth Powerflow rear box. Do they bolt straight on in place of the standard box?
Also do they vary from box to box in terms. of noise?
I know most people have them tuned to how they like it to sound...
Yeah sure! I actually enjoy doing it. Knowing your car it prob won't have much in the way of bonded contaminants on it to start with but if its as clean as it was at the last meet then i can clay the bits you want done.
You coming to Westerham this Sunday?
Deb if you don't fancy doing it yourself, let me know and i'll bring some along to the next meet you come to and i'll do it for you.....really is easy though. You won't hurt the paint in any way.
You just need to use plenty of spray to make sure the clay slides smoothly.
Ahh the wonders of clay. The best stuff to use as a surface lubricant is any spray detailer or fast wax (liquid not aerosol).
Most Clay kits come with a spray but once it runs out just use another similar product.
Well the time has come to do away with the frankly awful Sony Explode rear speakers that are just distorting something rotten.
I need some ideas as to what the best speakers are to replace them with.
Infinity? Alpine? Other?
Looking at a budget of about £50-60.....any suggestions?
Cheers!
Have that nearly every month with mine!
After giving mine the works exterior wise on Saturday i just sat looking at it for a while....really is stunning.
Sports aren't better....they are basically the Pro's with more drop, so they are better in terms of droppage. They both do the same thing.
My Cup is on Pro's and its fantastic.
Mmmm...glossy! See Mikey...all it needed was a good polish.
Thats the beauty of dark colours. A bit of elbow grease and they come up well provided the paint isn't shagged.
Now all it needs is those Sportlines put on....not long now!
Took advantage of having the workshop to myself today and decided to give the Cup a good going over...and then went a bit pic mad with it. Only with the phone cam but i was pleased with how it was looking.:approve:
Comments welcome.....except from those wishing to claim it needs "slammin":rasp:;)
They all do it. Its the engine management running on an open loop fuel setting as the emissions sensors don't work until things have warmed up so it doesn't know how to fuel itself.
After a few minutes it switches to a closed loop and runs as it should.
