The thing is, i'm not sure if its definately on the way out. It just sounds like the bearing is going, but i've been told that you can't replace the bearing. All I need to do is remove the slam panel and remove the old one as the engine is in bits anyway, but i'd rather put the money towards...

Mine has been whining. Car is currently in bits, so I'm wondering if it's worth sticking a new one in, or can I fix the bearing on the pulley? Where is cheapest place to get a new one.

It's one of two things, either the transmitter has gone in the key, (however if you've tried your spare I'd be surprised) or the keys need recoding with the uch. Might be the receiver on the car also I suppose. Diagnostics would be best way to check.

Why do you need one mate? Are you not doing a bias setup? ie. adjust how much goes front/back manually?
