is anyone working on these touring car stylee dampers for the 182/172 ? or getting some or is there no point ? i know coilovers are cheaper.
can you use the dampers like coilovers with springs on the shocks ??
they will do a cup version prolly without xenons or something + removing spare wheel, most likely be like the 182cup over the 182 slightly lower but not low enough, and only 20kg lighter with less kit maybe a silly colour and new 1kg lighter wheels.
the trophy is where its at but that wont...
the 172 is built better than the 182 with more expensive parts that they took out for money saving or they just ran out and used some 1.2 trim.
imo the seats are worse, the carbon finish isnt as good, the handbreak doesnt have the metal bit, and in general i think the 182 was just made to...
but the problem is i wont be able to get a good price for my 172. it already has 38K on the clock and its got mods on i.e suspension and wheel mods.. so il be lucky to get £7,000 prolly more like £6,500 and i only have £1k to put towards after the sale of my car. so it really depends on how much...
nah i want the colour and the light weight + better handling more than air con TBH.
just wanted to know peoples thoughts.. as i wouldnt be "stepping up" to a 182 as i cant afford one right now and i could basically swap my 172 for a cup.. which is as good as a 182 in most respects.
someone pay attention to my thread godammit.
il have to lure you in with funky photos...

nice !
is it worth it, i think they look the nuts and my 172 is ice silver which is a great colour but too common and the diddy spoiler and no spliter better wheels, i always feel a bit lesser when i see someone in a shinny waxed up Cup..
would it be stupid to swap considering i could sell the 172...
best thing to do. remove spare wheel + kit on the 172 saves approx 20kgs and if your brave the back seats as most people dont use them. get into fifth and stay there as much as you can, dont take over 3k rpm, waut until engine has heated up before you go fast as intially it drinks loads of...

both roughly the same price. i hate exhausts so confusing. whats the best...
think this thread is naff.
chip the N/A to 200hp ? wtf lol
price will be £17,000 ? after 6 months internet discounts will bring this down to £13.5k and after that depreciation will take hold and peeps will pick one up for 10k 2nd hand (at which price the old CTR will still be at that value...
LOL Agree !
TBH i really like the look of the exhausts and for £398 there not bad, also they seem to really like the exhaust noise. didnt say it was too loud or anything so should be a good mod at least to just do exhaust.
great pics, love the white dials sooooooo much and should be standard on all MKIIs im gonna get myself some.
as for the trophy bits LOL,
great pics, most pics on here are a clio in a field or polished on a drive not next to a zonda. How offten will you see our cars parked nex to that lot...
