trophy dampers or coilovers

  MKIII 138

is anyone working on these touring car stylee dampers for the 182/172 ? or getting some or is there no point ? i know coilovers are cheaper.

can you use the dampers like coilovers with springs on the shocks ??

Get fully adjustable coilovers. Remote reservoir dampers only come in to their own when racing, hence why theyre a con/gimmick on a road car.

No. Fact. The reason why they used on race cars and bikes is that the dampers in such applications take a hammering, which in a normal damper would overheat the oil, thus changing the bump/rebound properties.

Hence the use of a remote reservoir. Keeps the oil at a more constant temperature and therefore teh bump/rebound properties stay more constant. Absolutely no need at all on a road car.
