tis true, it no racing tale as such but im my 172 its funny to watch people hard on the breaks upto a roundabout trying to scrub off 80-100mph in time almost all cars have to break really early in the 172 you just break when you want and take speed back out of the otherside of the bend, so easy...
are they easily detectable. i.e if your car was a write off and you had it replaced with a new one would someone go to the trouble of checking what type of cams your engine had ?? i hardly think they would but anyways..
can you remap the standard ECU to accept the new cams and if you did this...
looks a bit project gotham to me.
i quite like it, its not ugly it just doesnt stand out much. looks like astras, micra etc.. simular anyway.
i know people said they couldnt tell the diffo from a 1.2 clio and a 172/182 but personally i know from experience driving around in a 172 gathers...
ALL garages are like this. i dont want to go into my stories as they would last for around three pages every time i need something doing at reno or a 3rd party garage they manage to fuk it up.
8 brake sounds good too with the ITG panel filter added thats a sure fire 10bhp for £200 nice. 190hp (192ps) clio.. whats sort of torque gains would you expect ?
does sound cool. i know i mite get flamed for this but im unsure as to wether id tell my ins company about inlet mani work as ive heard enough storeis with peoples car that have all sorts of discreet stuff done and still pay out but only a few horror stories.
anyways id be very interested in...
whats a "good head"
(no rude stuff !)
so whats a few step program to discreetly (i.e no insurance probs) gain a genuine 10-12hp + simular torque using these techniques (ok il allow for sports cats)
oops my bad i thought you said BBPT
didnt BBR just do that official addon pack for the cooper S to 307bhp and loads torque ?
only thing is the pack costs £18,000 !!!!!! ! ! ! and another for good measure !
so i dont expect it to come cheap
nice that you can get a kit that give you 202 however GDI could do this a step at a time and probably cheaper. theres no guarentee that one car will produce 202 and one will produce 190 is there ? and after the recent RRd day results BB could claim that the rollers are out etc..
nice to a have...
i own one and the only thing thats annoying is the slighty stiff steering at low speeds, the slightly naff turning circle, and the very hard clutch pedal makes crawling pants and the low end torque is naff so smooth starts i.e lifting clutch and applying gas are not really possible as the bite...
hmm.. id like my 172 to sound like a mix of 172 and scoob, where do you get these exhausts what type are they ?
seriously iam interested or are you ust talking a big bore thingy.
hmmm interesting. i do love the way a cup stands out but il have to ponder on it a little while longer.
btw when was the last cup made i.e what year and do you think il be able to get a 182 for £8500 ?
ok,
im selling my 172MKII 53reg 37k good condition hopefully for around £7,000 but £6500-£6,800 should be ok. i have £5800 left to pay my loan off so that leaves me with around £800-£1000 spare + £7500 max from a personal loan.
so worst case = £8200 for a new clio 172cup or 182cup. problem...
those two are down to personal choice imo. its fine for me 5ft 7" . performance ?? well depends its no ATOM but its good fuel, good insurance, and sixty in 6.7 with 100 in 17secs. fine for me.
in 1 years time eveyone will love it and the current clio will look old and poo. the beefy V6/192/172 replacement will be even better.
better build, materials, space, seating height, reach and rake steering more top end power, better safety etc..
anyone got a nitros setup on a 172/182 and ran any performance tests. whats the sae limit for the 172/182 engine to run, i know you start on 25hp jets but id only want 50hp max anyways should take the 182 to 230hp for 10secs when really wanting to be pushed into your seat in 2nd
why are the tyres so big ? they make it look odd. i noticed them on leedss car there like tractor tyres.
anyways black wheels suit racing blue imo..

are they worth it. are they good TBs. is £4100 in vat + £360 fitting a good price ?
why are they so expensive. 205hp for £4k ? its possible to get 200hp from a 182 with £2.5k. so are...
