subframe off mate.not a to bad job but you need help to lift the subframe and the gearbox on and off.i think you get about 5 hours labour.

has it blown the wiper fuse? if the fuse is ok then the moters probably got damaged due to the strain it was under when the linkage got jammed.

i dont know how you could recalibrate the speedo without changing the speedo drive gear with one with a different ratio.but i doubt anybody sells different ratio speedo drives anyway.

a slightly longer clutch fork might work.what is the bb tuning part then as there isnt a picture?

if my clutch ever goes im going to stick the group n one in it.clutch at a dealer mugen would cost about £500.most of that price is the labour.

genuine renault bearings seem pretty good quality.a half decent mechanic with a press should be able to fit it properley.people mainly damage bearings by trying to hammer them in or pressing them in on the piss.

was the bearing noisy before it collasped?very strange it would just collaspe without there being any warning signs first.they normally collapse due to being excessivly worn or incorrectly fitted.

calipers are the same but i think the axles are different widths(the 16v is defo wider).

the main squeaks we used to have on them were the clutch plate or the front pipe to manifold joint.we used to drop the front pipe down,mix some copper grease and exhaust paste together,put it on the front pipe to manifold joint and refit the front pipe.cant think of anything obvious from the rear.

just fit a ventilation vent in the garage wall if your worried.

some people modify and use the espace splitter.

depends.some have plastic clips but some older ones have the spring idea.

i got a diode pack etc for an espace of a similiar year from renault.have you asked your local dealer.

electrical agents can sell you the bushes etc.there is a lucas electrical store in chesterfield where i last got some from.you can get bushes etc for certain alternator from renault.

you would have to weld in a reducer section and you need a different flange.you might as well buy a proper exhaust instead of messing around trying to get that one to fit.

the indicators slot into the headlight housing and are held in place by a spring/ring pull idea.have a look behind the headlight and youll see the ring on the end of the spring sitting in a groove in the headlight housing.unclip this and slide the indicator out.

as above get a doner car so you have all the parts you need.find a local firm who will carry out the conversion and who know what there doing as well.

the centre section joins are different so you wont be able to bolt them togethor.

ON THE NORMAL 16V ENGINES THERE IS A BOX HELD IN PLACE BY A RUBBER BAND THAT HAS THE INTAKE PIPE ON 1 END AND ATTACHES TO THE AIRFILTER HOUSING AT THE OTHER.THIS IS JUST A SILENCER,PULL IT OFF AND YOU WILL HEAR WHAT I MEAN IF YOU GO FOR A BEZ AROUND.THIS IS ONLY ON THE NEW NORMAL 16V ENGINES NOT...

A DECAT IS JUST A PEICE OF STRAIGHT THROUGH PIPE AT THE END OF THE DAY SO ID JUST GET THE CHEAPEST.

MAKE SURE YOU DRILL IT BEFORE THE FILTER SO THE AIR STILL GETS FILTERED.ON THE NEW 16V ENGINES(NOT 172) JUST REMOVE THE SILENCER BOX BEFORE THE AIRFILTER BOX AND REPLACE IT WITH IT WITH A PEICE OF PIPE.YOU WONT GAIN ANYTHING BUT YOULL GET THE NOISE.

THE DIAGNOSTIC CARDS WE USE ON THE XR25 ARE THE SAME FOR THE CLIO AND THE 19 SO THAT SHOULDNT BRING UP ANY FAULTS.TAKE A LOOK AT THE ECU AND SEE IF ITS GOT WATER CONTAMINATION.

£90 IS A GREAT PRICE.CANT REALLY THINK OF ANYTHING ELSE THAT YOU NEED TO REPLACE.
