some models you can just undo the top heatsheild bolts and prise the sheild forward enough to get your hands in and change the cable.dont think there is enough room to do that on a 172 though but havent changed one on a 172 for ages so i cant quite remember.
either the cables snapped or come out of its holder.youll have to jack the car up and manually release the bonnet catch from underneath.use a screwdriver to release the catch.
the springs on the throttle body are quite strong so its rare for them to stick.you could grease the throttle pedal pivot point but its normally the cable that sticks.new cables are quite cheap.
the front foglights are held in by two screws that you can see on the front of the foglights.
front indicators are held in by a spring with a hook on the end that locates behind the headlight.unhook this spring and slide the light out.
wont the different colours mean didnt fuel flow rates,so it would depend on what your doing as to which one is best.im sure some of the tuning boffins will answer for sure though.
the flap is just between the main air filter box and the air pipes.pull of the pipes and have a look.you will probably be able to just prise the flap off.
