Ive had my PH1 172 since before christmas now. The previous owner had both the window regulators changed. However one is obviously wired back to front as when I press up on the passenger side window it goes down. Can I change the wiring on the switch to compensate for this or do I have to rewire...
I had this problem a few weeks ago the spark plugs, leads and coil are prone to getting wet. Take them out one by one and thouroughly dry them and douse the leads coil and the lead end of the spark plug in wd40. It is most likly one of the leads or plugs is wet.
I very much doubt there is water...
Now its on 16's it needs lowering a bit. I'm a fan of the standard PH1 look sidestrips etc. Although I do like the look of the clear indicator and PH2 rear lights.
I would do what everyone else does put up with what you have and save for a better car. I had a 1993 106 1.4i until before christmas when I had saved enough for a sport.
Just get a cup racer (Espace v6) box and a itg panel or a PH1 172 box and a itg panel. There is a guide to a homemade Maxogen in the guides section though you will have to sign up and be a member.

Most gear box oil absorbs oil etc. and wears over time so it is necessary to change the oil regulary. Renault don't specify a change but I would say it needs to be done at least every 36k.
Yeah first time I changed it havn't had the car that long so didn't know when it was last done wish I hadn't now as it was fine before!! If the clutch cable doesn't sort it it looks like it'll be being changed out also!!!
Ive just gone to renualt and got a new clutch cable as mine is looking worse for wear anyway its got weights on the gearbox end that my old one doesn't have so i'm assuming they have changed the design or given me the wrong one??
I'll tighten the mount up this weekend as well.
