I have to say, apart from Day, the rest of you have just shown how immature you are with those replies.
Well done people...another ace representation of Cliosport.:coffee:
Its not a Cup and its not a Full Fat....its a Cup Full.
Cup interior but no door badges or Cup spoiler, but has climate and headlight washers.
If he's gonna try and pull the wool over and make out its a CC Cup, at LEAST get rid of the signs that its a FF, and put the right badging on!
Chief...
The Exige comes with the option of having an Accusump fitted. Its comes as part of one of the Sports packs.
Its OE on the 240R though as that really does generate enough cornering G to warrant having it, as they are very track biased cars.
Ahh is that Longcross by any chance?
That place is almost mythical....its all hidden by woodland and has a banked oval type test track as well!
Not many people know its there but apparently it used to be used loads back in the 80's and 90's by alot of motoring mags for a proving ground.
Now...
Be honest....so you can get a good 'ol Cliosport fingerwag and wristslap from everyone to make you feel that much better.
I shouldn't need to point out im being sarky
Sheeeeeeeeeit.
Yeah im sorry to heap misery and all but an 80mph cambelt faliure does the maximum damage that can come from a cambelt faliure!
Feel for yer buddy.
How many miles is yours on out of curiosity?
Ditto. Im much the same. Kept all my parts receipts and just written in the service stamp boxes what was done and the mileage.
All genuine parts and all done to my exceptionally high standard!
It helps i have proper mechanics for advice where i work...and all the tools a lifts.
Oh so its had its oil changed since the last service at 14k?
I bought mine with about 8200 miles on it and Renault did a service before i picked it up but its not seen a Renault workshop since...well only for a windscreen seal.
Done everything else myself...oil/filter changes, coolant change...
Snap! Mines a 52 plate on 32k.
As others have said, go for the 36k as it would be a waste not to seeing the aux belt is due at 36k anyway.
If you fancy doing your own services from now on its really easier than you'd think.
I've changed my oil and filter about every 8000 miles, sometimes less...
Again both in the space of a mile!
1st was another 172 Cup on the roundabout with Salt Box road heading towards Woking.
An attractive blonde driving it by the looks of things...didn't get the reg number though.
The 2nd was a black 182 heading down the Salt Box Road towards the same Woking...
Well im looking at these. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Renault-Clio-172-182-Brembo-Max-Brake-Discs-Pads_W0QQitemZ330088185934QQihZ014QQcategoryZ10410QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
Look pretty good.
Mine are due and im just wondering what the butchers choice is so to speak.
Keep seeing different brand names gettin bandied about....what do the majority of you go for?
Ahh nice one. I'll do the same mate. The nice twisty lane that is becoming my little handling proving route isn't the longest but is definitely a good little rag....its fairly hidden away though unless you know the area.
Are you familiar with the road that runs down from the Hogs Back down thru...
Hmmm...on the topic of upgrades i think for my next car i'll be after a Trophy or a 182 Cup.
Want to keep in the Renault camp i think....despite the niggles i think they have real character and are a right hoot.
So having read that the 182 has a 4-2-1 manifold as opposed to the 172's 4 into 1, i was wondering is it possible to retro fit a 182 manifold onto a 172?
Is it a straight swap?
Having driven most of the very fastest Impreza's (bar the 22b) and as i own a Cup, i'd have to point you in the direction of the Impreza for pure speed and its horizon headbutting capability.
The Cup is fun but not on a par speed wise.
All depends what your budget is and if you can afford to...
I suspect my suspension has taken a pounding after month after month of driving along the same route to work which takes in probably the worst section of poorly surfaced (as well as speed bumps) road in Guildford.
So im looking at either Eibach Pro and new OE dampers or a complete new set of...
Its just ticked over 32k and is 4 years old now.
I've been mulling over prolines and some dampers for a while now and that drive has kinda helped make my mind up to get them done. What dampers would go well with them?
Well i haven't been driving the Cup as it was intended so i went for a bit of a "spirited" drive this afternoon, dispatched a Fiesta RS with relative ease and played tag with a 206Gti 180, before taking in a section of quiet, twisty country road near me.
Now it became apparent that the Cup felt...
Ahh right. Well get him on here...if he can put up with some of the bullsh*t that is.
I've PM'd you and Pumpkin about the next South East Meet in March. Be good if you can make it. PM me back if you want putting on the list!
Yeah mine does. Misses the last few inches of the sweep in the bottom corner of the screen....still look ace though and better than any of the standard blades.
Well ive just had mine up in the air. Lubed up the bushes and the lower ball joint but i reckon im chasing my tail on this one until something fails or someone has a definate answer.
