Where you at in Scotland?
Falkland Performance does remapping in Glenrothes for about £400. The gain is marginal but if you throw in a few other mods, you will notice it a bit more.
The 206 GTi is well set-up. It's not quite on pace with Clio Sports etc but it pulls well for the power it has, and it exploits it well. It's probably a good step up from a 1.2 engine and very affordable.
However, you will eventually crave more power and then land on the door step of a...
I've got that very issue. They gave the overall to the Mini but the Clio 172 FF was the quickest around the track. The 206 was very impressive and way down on power. CTR was poor on the wet track and got a fair slagging!
I prefer the 206 GTi to the 180 version. 180 is a Halfords-extra wet...
...the guy on the Clio advert should stop feckin' around and just dink the French girl? I can't take anymore of the tension!!
On a more serious note, I would like to see Renault with some better TV adverts for the Renaultsport range. The Megane ad is a step in the right direction but I would...
Very sweet, although a bit too low for my taste.
How are the brakes? I am looking to upgrade to your exact spec soon, just waiting on a quote. How does the Cup fair on the Ring? I will hopefully get round to introducing the Cup to the Ring at some point.
That's all very well but the actual model of car is gash. You might see a nice, well looked after Nova once a year but they are terrible cars and in this case it looks like pi$$. They look like $hit and the effort, time and money (it may be impressive to get the power from the engine) is not...
It's like anything. The harder you push a car, the quicker it will break. (There will some exceptions) I guess it depends on what you mean by 'thrashing.' To me, thrashing means maxing out the engine at every opportunity and not caring for the car. Any car that I knew had been thrashed, I would...
I get that in my Cup. It appears to be rattling from the seat and not the runners and it depends on the angle of the seat. The front of the seat does not seem to be attached properly to the frame of the seat. Drives me nuts but I can't seem to fix it.
I reckon a test drive is required, as you may like it better. In my opinion, they are not as much fun to drive but definately feel better quality. They are no quicker than the Cup (I had a wee tussle with one last night), so no performance gains to be had. I also suspect your running cost will...
A tight track and either car could take it but I reckon a track with longer straights and the Cup will take it. By a baw hair!
As everyone knows on this forum, Cups rule the roost and Cup drivers refuse to lose.
Probably true but I am pretty sure it was half-inched in Paisley which is not close to Dunfermline.
My only hope is to wait for next winter and watch the Cup scrap heap challenge commence! There must be a few bits salvagable from the Cup pile-ups that take place between December and February...
