Yeah, use a brush or an old sponge. Alternatively, I find Megs Endurance Gel very good for tyres. I tedn to apply once after the wheels have been cleaned and then again at the end of the cleaning process, and then buff off half an hour later.
As above, AG Bumper Care is very good, used it yesterday for the first time and the black bits look naturally black again. Will have to wait and see if it stays more than a week...
I think prefer the colour Liquid, as my first car was yellow and it still holds an (embarassing) hold over me. But I wouldn't buy one, so RB in terms of what I'd rather own.
Cheers peeps, nice to hear people appreciating it. I doubt I'll be able to sort the bodywork out before FCS, but it's that reason why I want to get her back to mint and standard again - so people will also appreciate it more in person.
Craig - Nope, just lowly Titanium I'm afraid, I lowered...
Very cool pics, I now want to see a Liquid, Inferno, RB, Trophy and Saner's car all lined up - get it sorted.
The Green car is, as said, Saner's - 1.4, and also for sale IIRC.
Only one CAF goes to the IK Derv, the other is just for show.
Cheers Christoph: tell you what, straight swap? I'd normally say a bit of cash my way but, since your wheels are nice...
The air feeds will make way in the comin weeks as well al, as soon as I can find my original fogs!
Cheers for the comments guys, the car is far from mint unfortunately, with little dents all over the shop and some serious paint issues on the front bumper.
172-girl, I had a 182 bumper and...
Another step back to standard with the return of the original bumper. The state of the bodywork in general is getting quite depressing so a bit of money will be chucked at that in coming months.
And the bumper back on...
Comments welcome, not that there's much to comment on!
A change is as good as a rest! ;)
No worries mate, good to meet up with someone new. Sorry I couldn't stay and talk cars but work was beckoning. :(
With the wheels, they look really nice on the car, a hint of anthracite turini, but different. I can see what you mean about them looking quite...
If it's been a good few years since you have cared for the paintwork, I'd recommend getting it PC'd by someone in the know. Rich / Brazo on here are a good starting point. It will remove a lot of imperfections / light scratches / swirls in the paint and make it look nicer and easier to care for.
A magnet won't stick to the alloy bonnet.
Looks good mate, think I'd lose the skirt stickers as it's adds a 'comical' edge to a mean looking car. Also reckon it would look better either being both fogs in or out... But that's me being picky.
Will people actually pay more for a part on Ebay that they can get at their local stealer for less!?!
As for voucher, if you're not keeping the car much longer then I'd say sell the voucher on here for £80-90.
After the measly 2litre in the 172, the performance is mindblowing!
And not having to change gear is just odd!
Okay, so mine's just in getting serviced and fixed... but it's a nice day for some photo's. :D
As said, I think I'd give black a go if I was buying a car with immaculate paint - I saw a stunning black 225 (looked like Rich had been at it) yesterday and my jaw just dropped as I walked past... to the point where the guy just laughed at me.
But, I like my silver - it's subtle but...
