My mate did the timing, he works for renault and used the propper renault tool, it was previously 1 tooth out on the inlet side and it had no mid range, its smoother now but still not right Yes you can check timing without removing the belt however to change the timing it has to be taken off...

I'm guessing the pops and bangs only occur because of how henk sets up the car on over run, I'm not sure what all the different value's are that they work with but I'm sure it's possible for another tuner to do it aswell

The problem with the raceland's is that they're too soft, get some H+R's, Kw's Or billstein and get them wound down and they will still handle great
