My mate did the timing, he works for renault and used the propper renault tool, it was previously 1 tooth out on the inlet side and it had no mid range, its smoother now but still not right
Yes you can check timing without removing the belt however to change the timing it has to be taken off...
I'm having a strange problem with my trophy.
Basically its just had the timing set (properly) and I've just booted the car for the first time
It feels above 5k rpm the car doesnt want to rev as free as it should, it does this all the way to 6800rpm, then it gets a little burst of power just...
I keep popping past on my way to hartside andy but theres never anyone in the garage, I'm guessing now the little nipper is around the late nights are over?
Let me know when you're around as I'd love to get a go in this monster
Re: Iceberg 172 Cup Project
I wish I'd kept my 2118's when I had my Iceburg ph1, they would've looked awesome with the drop I was running
You've by far got my vote for best iceburg on here, its a truely stunning example.
As for the brake pornography..... how are you finding the super blue...
I think the rare ones will be around in 30-40 years, probably a couple of trophy's will be preserved and a lot of v6's I can imagine
Its only 20 years since the 5 turbo, I cant see them lasting another 20 years without a lot of restoring
Add the flaps, the fact they're red will really contrast with the cup's blue paintwork
Nice wheels and stripe aswell, I was thinking about the same ones for my trophy, you're my inspiration
Nice tints aswell, the fuzz wont be able to see you pounding your bird in the rear with those bad boys...
If someone has turned accross your path they're more than likely going to be fully liable. The only time you get problems with claims regarding traffic lights is if one party is saying the other's light was on stop
This isnt the case, and the guy failed to give way to oncoming traffic, you...
My mate has just bought this and was wondering if its someone's old car off here as the clio badge has been removed at the rear
Looks in good condition anyway and I will be telling him to join up
Is there anything planned like this again this year?
Think it was around november time last year and think it would be great if Karl could get something arranged
Has anyone ever done this in a 172/182?
I've got a trophy and I'm hoping I can use the original frames just change the seats over as I sat in a mates R27 last night and they're so much more supportive
I'm guessing the pops and bangs only occur because of how henk sets up the car on over run, I'm not sure what all the different value's are that they work with but I'm sure it's possible for another tuner to do it aswell
Ah ok, I see you say everything seems more aggressive but what stress is this going to put on the engine in the long term? I'd prefer a smooth map that wont see my car detonate in 10-20k miles time
Is there anymore proof of his work apart from your mates 172?
I see them all the time, you must be looking in the wrong places, JDM, Dub, French, all the scenes can and do rock it very well
Race cars are low and they handle very well, it just depends whether the owner wants to use the car/suspension to its full potential or just prefer to show it off and...
I'd be interested to meet up and have a ride out in your clio once its done if thats ok? How much are you paying for it and what sort of power is it going to make?
Why would you want people in the back of your car anyway? Most passengers are disrespectful, eat in your car, muck the place up and scuff your plastics/seats when they get in and out
Low is a lifestyle
Who's car was that mate? Ph1's have cable throttle remember so the throttle response is much better
Also where was the car mapped and where are you getting yours done?
This thread smells of old skool, love it mate always have,
You'd really be amazed in person how good this car is condition wise, no dents, scratches and everything looks and works as it should, a 5 is for life, not just for christmas ;-)
