    One for the RB boys.

I'm not a fan of RB one bit, but those pics make the paint look very wet with good depth. should only be working an area of 18 - 24" square at a time. 2 - 3 peas size blobs of polish on the pad and work it until it hazes clear, somewhere between 3 and 5minutes. Search through the videos on DW...

I hear most of his day is drinking tea and taking photo's anyway, doesn't take too much time really, not much to it. Any billy with a buffer can get just as good results ;) Awesome work Russ, just goes to show the level of work when someone asks you to do a car like that

    Glazes and Using Glazes PT1...

if suing both, would you be better off using a dedicated cleaner like prime then instead of rejuvenate with amigo over? How strong is amigo at cleaning? is it likely to remove the oils put down by rejuvenate or other pre wax cleansers

    Glazes and Using Glazes PT1...

rejuvenate does do a little filling but nothing compared to amigo I'd imagine. But doesn't amigo have a certain amount of cleaning ability any way? may be best to use one or the other

    Pre-wash

the pics of my Silver Golf, blue Focus and Focus wheel were taken after approx 3 - 4 weeks of driving in the snow and grit. The Golf I used a pressure washer to rinse it off, the focus as it was wearing a fairly new layer of spirit I just used a normal garden hose and it easily removed all mud...

    Pre-wash

citrus power is very good at stripping dirt, have a look at AF sub forum on DW for there recent thread with pics. and it is LSP safe, I use it quite reguarly on the lower half of the car. the problem with it is it could become quite expensive if used on a regular basis as the spray head sprays...

    Best polish/wax to use

HD is a very good bargain wax IMO. apply it 1 panel at a time, and buff off almost immediately. The thinner the better, it''ll take half an hour - hour to apply and remove but is very durable and beads well. I just almost managed 6 months with 2 layers. seems to work over most things as well

    Best polish/wax to use

Shopping in halfords, high street stores etc stick with autoglym SRP with HD wax. ordering online, autofinesse tripple topped with any wax or sealant, have a look at AF tough coat or werstatt jett kit for pure simple application and good durability.

    Glazes and Using Glazes PT1...

it's entirely up to you. will you be aiming for 100% corection? if so then you won't benefit from the filling capabilities, but it may still add something to the finish.

    Wheel wax, which one...?

did you do the whole lot in C5 or was some of it kept with FK? I would go with 476 as I have it already over FK. Use it on my mountain bike and seems to do a fair job. not quite the inner arches though.

I had a play on the AF training day. Although better it wasn't the step up in performance you get with rejuvenate. It cleaned up a pink single stage paint bonnet with ease

    What have you ordered? *Detailing*

If your using a wax over, I can't emphasise how much improved the car looked with AF tripple, IMO better than EZ creme glaze and I've not find it affect durability in any way. I'm yet to use any other glazes.

what are you cars sealed with at the moment?
  26. Y

    Wheel wax, which one...?

depends on the style of the rims really, some have managed 18/19" if they are of a basic shape. are yours the 5 spokes or more intricate. the simpler the design the easier and less you'll use. Also I did inner and outer rim and spokes. I think they add a little bit of gloss, but they maintain...

durable and cheap AG HD wax. DJ supernatural hybrid looks a bit better but doesn't last quite as long but same sort of price. Again thses are waxes that I used myslef on my LY 182 What will you be using as a base to put the wax on top of? as that will effect it
  28. Y

    What have you ordered? *Detailing*

the colour charging of the DJ waxes didn't really have a great impact on my LY. I really liked Vics Collectors yellow though http://www.cleanyourcar.co.uk/wax/victoria-wax/cat_60.html Vikan brushes are pretty good IMO

    Wheel wax, which one...?

but why though, this is what I've been trying to find out. IIRC all C1/4/5 etc are very very similar, so surely C1 could withstand indirect brake dust? therefore I could try C5 on the bodywork? I can't find what benefits one has over the other
  30. Y

    Wheel wax, which one...?

I've used half my 15ml C5 bottle to do 2x 17" Focus wheels, so should get the 4 done with a 15ml bottle unless I do something wrong. you don't dilute it I can't decide between C1 & C5 for the struts, still hoping Rob of GT is going to reply to my thread on DW
