I'm well aware who makes it, it says on my pot that's still sitting in the shed.
Aucky have you used C5 on struts or dampers before, how did it perform? I'm needing to do it when I replace all my Golf suspension but was thinking of using C1
BWAB FTW
rimming wax only ever gets used now on exhaust tips. can't remember the last time I used it on wheels. there are certainly much more durable items out there although it's not bad at removing cooked on carbon, especailly with a de cat
think of it as pure alcohol. lol

it ensures the surface is free from any oils or solvents ready for application. I used to get it from local chemists but they're a bit funny about that sort of thing now.
I've never enjoyed...
you would not wax over it for best results just use the diluted QD. it has very good water sheeting so helps itself clean when it's raining etc. After I gave up topping it up and eventually stripped it to apply new products it had been on nearly 9 months and there was minimal tar and iron...
if left to long it crystallises apparently. the prep should be perfect as well. I used lots of wheel cleaner, tar and iron remover before I gave them a light rub down with a mild polish compound and IPA wipe after. I'm looking to just about do 4x 17" focus alloys with 15ml. As long as you don't...
C2 is a spray on sealant, very easy to use and works it's best when applied to a freshly cleaned and de contaminated body, when beading starts to drop off mix 5 or 10ml of C2 with 100ml of water and use it as a quick detailer. reguarly maintained I found 6months easy.
I bought the above kit...
BTBM = dodo juice born to be mild shampoo. It's OK but I didn't feel it was very slick, maybe due to the hard water area.
My favourite is AutoFinesse Lather, and they're only based near stansted. they do a whole range of products that are very good

Hello mate, haven't seen a monaro about.
C5 is the best, but wheels must be perfectly cleaned and isn't the easiest to apply, although a little thought and you should be fine. I have it on the front wheels of the focus, yet to do the rears, and a pressure washer is enough to bring them up.
If...
Cliox4 on DW?
I'm planning on trying HD cleanse and rejuvenate as bases for my Zymols when I come to try them. Have heard HD cleanse can be awkward to use
pre wash or snow foam, wash, tar remover, rinse, dry, tripple, hardcore paste wax. dependant on contamination of the paint I would recommend a good clay to lift embedded dirt, and an iron remover also
should see it protected for a few months
with tripple and tough coat there is no residue or powder as they are extremely easily removed. even if left and you spot it 30mins later they are still easily removed unless your in direct sun
If your not going to top up your hard work using tripple with either a wax or sealant, you're kinda...
the only picture with 2 yellow mounts is the pic where the mount is fitted, and in the reflection of the exhaust to see the mount again. only 1 powerflex bush was used per mount.
Jonw that's an impressive bit of filling!
Robbie, the mounts in the kit lasted me less than a year, I personally...
can't think of any pipe available to cover existing pipes, other than the heli coilled stuff that you just wrap around, generally used to stop a pipe rubbing against something.
with regards to cleaning, go into you local supermarket, pick up the cheapest all purpose cleaner like Daisy etc...
I've had a couple of orders direct with GT and all have been there before the end of the week.
Chase up Rob as he was pretty helpful when I needed to change an order and postal address on another.
Nothing IMO is quite as bad as the CYC and DPD combination!
What have you ordered? was going to...
I've only tried 1 panel with tripple and tough coat and it sheeted for quite some time, but there are quite a few on DW that have done it and not experienced any issues. I asked James about this and he said it would be fine and have used it themselves on a few occassions.
OT regarding vics red...
IMO tripple can add a bit more than rejuvenate due to it's filling, especially when usign both by hand. I left it alone on my roof and managed about 3 weeks with weekly wasahing. It is not meant as a stand alone product really. Top it up with tough coat and you're onto a winner. Tough coat seems...
LOL it's probably not worth the hassle, it's just about to hit 140K so ready for its 2nd cambelt, dampers are bouncing all over the place so I've bought a full set of GT TDI springs and dampers, new top mounts and bushing will be going on as well. and to top it off, I'm pretty sure the dual mass...
looks fantastic mate, very impressive.
All the AF range has impressed me. maybe consider imperial concentrate wheel cleaner instead of bilberry, or already diluted, and citrus power instead of the foam. Revive would be my biggest recommendation for your plastic trim too
I used mine for work for quite some time, commute was 40miles per day of A road, then 20 - 40miles per day town and B road driving. without trying and enjoying the odd trip I would easily average 36 - 38mpg and 350 miles per tank.
I was getting 40p per mile but no lump sum. got married and...
I have some, but not yet finished using it, and JD has first refusal already when I sell it on. I must get round to finishing all the bits off and moving it on
the whole let it dry and keep away from moisture for 24hours rules out a lot of people using it IMO.
Kev, does C1 require the same dry curing after application?
Toby did a lot of experimenting with body wrap IIRC
from what I've read it's fairly picky over application with regards to temperature and moisture. I have heard of applying additional layers over the top to bring it back to life.
What effects seem not to be working? sheeting, beading...
I got 2x NWP rear mounts and I took them off in less than a year.
So here's some I made earlier

your orders are getting bigger and bigger Russ, hope the CR samples sell in time of the new orders lol.
Out of curiousity, whats the MF pads like by rotary
Hey, I no nudtings, just trying to learn from those of you that do.
going back to the MF pads, I did a lot of reading into them as I considered it instead of getting the EP800. what put me off them was it all seemed very fussy compared to foam pad, the need for multiple pads of the same type...
