the percentage shown on renault service sheets is how worn they are not whats left.

they sometimes use the same warning lamp but on newer cars where there is no pad wires then it would mean low fluid level which could be an indication of worn out pads.

well i realise that running lean can cause damage but i thought that a lot of peoples argument against the ecotek was due to that reason.

well i thought an ecotek just allowed slightly more air into the manifold(via a controlled air leak) and so leaned the mixture slightly.

you should be able to see the cables/heater box flap gears by getting your head down in the footwell and looking up.

if other dealers are just saying its normal and never sending off tech alerts then this thing will never get sorted out.

on an old clio rl its just a case of unbolting the exhaust and removing it.you will need to twist the back box as you remove it to get it past the rear axle(can be awkward but you will see what i mean).you will probably need new mounts and clamps.about an hour or so to remove and fit new one.
