all renault alarms use earth trigger signals from pin switches rather than detecting a drain on the battery.removing the bulb wont disable the trigger line.
taking the bulb out wont disable that trigger line.you will need to disconnect the door pin switch and insulate the connector until you get a new one.have you checked the a pillar connector is in good condition and not full of water? is the alarm led giving you a trigger count?
the top mount/turret top modification is the same mod that marksmini has explained about.there is also another note that states to check the pas pipe to heat sheild clearance.as for the knocking noise under acceleration i personally think it is down to that there is to much flex in the engine...
if you wanted the noise you should have bought a conventional open induction kit.i doubt the viper although being enclosed would have gained you a deal anyway.if you take the cold air feed off you might as well as saved a £100 and bought an open induction kit in the first place.
the drain pipes go down the windscreen pillars and drain either into the front wheel arches behind the plastic gaurd or into the scuttle panel area under the plastic windscreen trim.
