there was a mod on the megane rear brakes for this problem but thats it.all other models the mod isnt applicable.dont think your going to get renault to pay for anything im afraid.
dont know mate.if your local id fit you one at home then theyd never know because they look the same on the outside.id go for a hillpower one though cos it would work out cheaper.
if you get a complete car(especially one thats had a large rear end shunt)then you will have most the parts you need.yep defo need to swap the anti roll bar over.
have you pulled down the fuse box to look at the wiring going into the back of it.sounds like a wiring loom junction point probably has a fault in it.if i get chance ill look up a wiring diagram and tell you a few suggestions.

you can keep using it to a point but the noise will just get louder.to change the bearings it would req the gearbox removing and completly stripping.might be more economical to find a recon gearbox.
i was looking for one once and all i could find was this square sheild which didnt look nothing like but was shown in the right place.i ordered it and the correct sheild came.

the reason renault have trouble finding them is because the picture of the heat sheild on the parts computer looks nothing like the real thing even though its shown in the right place.
