if the circlip comes out,the diff centre will come adrift and you will completly lose drive.diff bearings can make the same noise as wheel bearings.this is sometimes the cause of the circlip coming out.the diff bearings get worn and to much load is put on the circlip due to play in the bearings...
3 possibilities:-
1,faulty fuel gauge
2,faulty tank sender unit
3,wiring fault between sender unit and fuel gauge.
sender unit can be accessed through an inspection hole underneath the rear seats.check the connections.you could also try bridging out the sender unit gauge wires to see if...
they say if you dont disconnect the battery when you fit a new valve the computer will use the learnt parameters from the old valve which will immediatly damage the new one.you are also supposed to run them in so the computer can set them up.run them up as follows 1,idle for 15mins with no...
the heater rheostat controls the moter it doesnt produce the heat.the rheostat regulates the various speeds and is mostly what fails when your fan stops working.the rheostat connector is a commen failure point on old clios.its the heater matrix that produces the heat due to engine coolant...
a 5 turbo is easy to tune and you can produce a lot of power out of them if you chuck some money at them.can be prone for overheating though and headgaskets are not uncommen.trouble is now that a lot of them are major exspensive due to being done up and a lot of the other ones are sh*tters.used...
he probably had to do a bit of mileage before the computer realised the car was driving but without using any fuel.sometimes technology these days isnt as clever as they make out.it probably worked on the prevoiusly memorised figures until the averages it was calculating just didnt add up.
have you got throttle bodies fitted? if the original ecu is no longer doing the fueling then thats your problem because the instrument panel no longer has fuel consumption information from the ecu.
this basically means one of the inputs it needs to calculate mpg etc is missing.either information from the tank sender unit(fuel level etc) or fuel consumption information from the injection ecu.if you put your instrument panel into test mode it will give you a letter code so you can find out...
renault dephase it at 4500rpm for a reason only known to them but im sure its a good one.i would have thought on standard cams leaving it phased after 4500rpm would cause it to lose power.if you would gain power after that point why would renault dephase it.im sure some renault french boffins...
the vvt timing is controlled by the ecu.the ecu controls a solenoid in the cylinder head which directs oil down oil channels.there are two oil channels and each channel is linked to one side of the vanes in the dephasor.i suppose a chip could change the operating ranges of vvt if it wanted to.
replace matrix and coolant.give all your pipes a good flush out with a hose pipe before you refit the matrix.remember to flush out all the engine hoses and the radiator as well.a sign that it needs doing is the expansion bottle will be coated with orange/brown gunge on the inside.
if your engine is up to temp then defo heater matrix.internal corrosion inside the cooling system gradually blocks up the matrix.if you dont flush it out and change the coolant then it will just block up your new matrix.
bet he doesnt replace the idler wheel if it only takes him 2 1/2 hrs.put the engine on a jack and remove the top engine mount.jack the engine up so you can get your hands in.
we have no cars yet so we have no vehicle details to input into the parts computer to obtain part numbers.a lot easier to get the details of a car rather than trying to guess them.not even sure if the 182 is on the parts computer yet.
1,slightly uneven idle is normal
2,the click at the bottem of the accelerator pedal travel is a switch thats used for the cruise control.they use the same pedal for all models so even if yours hasnt got cruise control the pedal will still click.
you need to get to the heater rheostat so you can check the feeds to it and the feed out to the moter.there commen for the rheostat multiplug to melt and cause bad connections.remove the o/s part of the scuttle panel.you may need to remove the wiper moter and poss the computer if you cant get...
if you really have no idea then you might damage as much as your trying to fix.get a mechanic to help you.there not the nicest of engine bays to work in.
