I have to admit, I'm not sure the Turini's are going to work too well on this car. It's got a kinda 'Euro' look going with the smaller wheels and lowered a fair bit that the multispokes make not pull off so well...
I'd keep it as is for a while mate, don't make changes for changes sake.
I need you again Rich, noticed some beasty swirls over the weekend when the sun caught my roof.
God knows how they're getting there though, it's microfibre and two-bucket all the way these days!
It's not a process that'll make your car look any different, unless it's really caked in crap. It'll take impurities that are bonded onto the paintwork away from the surface, leaving it glass-like to the touch. It's work doing once in a while to keep the paint sweet.
Re: Complaint to Renault
Can't even bloody remove my fuel rail guard :( Been tryin to fit a polished one but can't get the bloody bolt out of the middle hole...
Lol,
"I've had plenty of cars without ABS before never crashed 'em"
"Yeah, but none with 170bhp"
"Always drive to the conditions"
"...within your own ability"
Have I missed anything?
Surely this is rubbish. Why would they allow copied CD's to be read if they weren't supposed to be played in it.
Get your owner's book out and if it doesn't say anything about copied CD's being played then they can't make you pay for it as it's a fault with the CD player...
Do K-Tech do services? They're based in Dorset, or Carlton Garage (ClarkieV6) is in Exmouth, Devon.
Can't imagine it'll affect the warranty, as I didn't the belts really needed changing until closer to 50k/60k. You are better off getting it done sooner rather than later though, to stop early...
I haven't been able to measure 0-60 yet...
... the minute I stick my foot on the throttle I'm up at 75mph, so I'd imagine 0-60mph of approximately 0.12 seconds.
Yep, I think Middo make a mistake...
Same 'shape' of car basically, different model. The standard Mk2 Ph1 has slightly different headlights (not dual) and a different bodykit, wheels, suspension, engine, etc, but the Mk1 172 is actually a Mk2 Ph1 172.
I'm really, really tempted to put mine back to standard. I actually prefer the black bump strips and the no frills rear bumper over mine! And the cute fogs....
Hmm, sell my induction kit, bumper, backbox, bump strips and invest in getting the bodywork mint again and a stealth system and panel...
Best bet is going elsewhere mate, there's several specialists dotted around the country who'll do a better job, take more care of your car and charge less.
Where you based?
Think it needs to be raised a few inches and get some neons and LED's on that bad boi.
To be honest the wheels are far too normal, in size and design, also.
Ooh, and random chrome, like mirrors and handles...
As above, I'm not an expert but I understand it has minimal impact on standard engines, but is better used on a few modifications to ensure it utilises them as well as possible.
