Thanks for the info Alan. Looks like I'll lose the cruise with a fastchip type jobbie then...... Not all that bothered as I don't use it that often, but would prefer to keep it if possible...
Yoz - have lost your number fella. You've fallen victim to the K750i contact deleting trick!
Probably a dumb question, but is the cruise control looked after by the ECU or is there a seperate computer for this and auto lights/wipers etc ?
I thinking of getting a replacement ECU and just wondered if it affects the cruise control.
If I changed my car, it would be for the sake of it. There aren't any cars out there for the money I'm willing to spend that really take my fancy.
Apart from a Trophy. lol.
There are a few that are worth a bit. Most are old and very tired. If the car was built to last it would have held it's money better, but sadly most get used as daily drivers and a lot of them are getting in dire need of restoration.
The engines are good, but the transmission, exhaust...
Repeat after me
"It's only a sticker"
Breathe in
"it's only a sticker"
Repeat until you realise that 90% of the people who see it won't know what it is and the rest would think you just stuck it on to impress people - the last thought in their minds will be that you've actually been.
PMSL!! That's quite possibly the biggest load of b****cks I've ever heard!!!
So do you look down on everyone that has a less expensive car than you? I think your the sad one pal.
You say you have a wider tyres on.... Whilst that may increase the contact patch, wouldn't it also mean that less 'pressure' is being exerted through tyres as the weight is distrubuted through a lager area, thus mean less grip in bad conditions? may be wrong, just a thought.
I've tried to tweak it a little....
The blur is a bit OTT but it should draw your eyes onto the car, and works better as a background as your icons stand out more.
Tweaked levels and saturation ( greens) also. Nice pic of a nice car!
When mines looking a bit tired I get the PC on it with some #83 paste. Brings the shaft up a treat.
I use a puff and some shampoo to keep the dolphin skin on the bell end in tip top condition.
Never in a million years, imho. If it was a £1000 maybe.... but there rreally isn't that much difference. It handles a bit better, but the 182 I drove was slower than my 172.... despite having more miles on the clock!!!
In the end I made my mind up that I had got lucky and got a reasonobly...
tickover - waaaaaaaaaa- 5k - WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA -
I remember my first experience of it. Still love it as much now as I did then. lol.
There's just something about n/a engines I prefer.... dunno why.
I for one would like to see him back on here. Love him or hate him he's a mind of info about the Williams. Doesn't know much about anything else, but he sure knows his willy's. :)
