You car is soclean it makes me feel sick. lol.
Try messing about with some movement and longer exposures,,,, always produces some good effects.
Very nice pics fella.
Iceburg Silver, registered Nov 2003 on a 53 plate. Has Cruise Control and 6 CD changer.
Clio Cup Speedline Turini alloys ( inc spare), Cup Spoiler, Cup Splitter, ITG Maxogen induction kit and Prospeed Stainless Exhaust. Warranty until November.
I might be selling to put a towards a deposit on a house. I have 12k set aside, but I bought my 172 outright, so essentially have 8k (ish) tied up in it.
I can run a banger for a few months and when I'm back on my feet buy another new one.
I was just thinking about values and supply and demand etc after reading about 172 prices. And I'm bored waiting for the pub to open again.lol.
The Clio's are quite a sought after car (hence why the Mk1 172 prices have steadied a little) thanks in no small part to excellent magazine reviews...
When I ordered my 172 (Aug 2003), the spec was 6 CD changer. When the car arrived (Nov 2003) it had cruise control but no CD changer.
Cruise was added in lieu of the CD changer on all cars built after September 2003.
lol... dreamer... If red is such a nice colour, why are there so few of them?
Iceburg suits the Clio far better.
Flame Red comes from the old Celtic saying meaning "Camper than a row of tents"
Can't say I've noticed a difference in acceleration. The OE suspension will be tailored to a wheel weight - it's the mass the suspension has to overcome - you hit a bump, the wheel go's up and the suspension must over come this moving mass - if the mass is less, this will be overcome with...
Turn in was improved - much sharper... Just seemed to lose a little composure over rough surfaces. Which describes most of the roads where I live. lol.
Average depreciation is %50 for most cars.. the RS clios are no better or worse than most cars out there..
I paid 12k for mine, brand new. 53 plate 172 (nov 03) with cruise. It's coming up for 2 1/2 years old and I reckon I could get 8k for it if I waited long enough. So that's under 2k a year.
I did actually. I found that the car seems very harsh on the rebound compared to the standard rims and a little skittish. Lowering the weight of the wheels is bound ro affect spring/damper relationships.
Hence why I'm considering coilovers.
I don't want to fry my clutch. Although I have recorded a 6.6 on a G-tech thingy.
Besides, midrange is where it's at... How often do you do racing starts to 60 on the road?
Brilliant info, thanks John.
So there's no real reason why the car should lose any fucnctions?
I take it ( in laymans terms) that only the fuelling/timing etc code is altered?
Cool website by the way.... You branching out into Renaults then? If you need a 172 to test on..... ;)
Quick speedo vid, film on location @ Fradley Airfield.
Car has ITG Maxogen and Prospeed Cat back and was still cold (:o :o :o )
Hope it works.
Interestingly a k750i wedges perfectly in the Clio steering wheel. lol.
