What a day we live in where we can't turn a phone off when asked and we have to be made to. I'm sure there's a European law that states intentionally blocking wireless services is illegal... it came up in conversation when some people found there mobiles worked until they entered a specific...
Pull each fuse and relay one at a time, note it's location, then clean the connectors on both sides (use an electrical contact cleaner if you can).
Corrosion at the 15A and 30A blade fuses and the main power latches can cause a lot of problems often mis-diagnosed as imob faults. Failing wiring...
It's not "normal" no, you *should* be seeing high 90's at WOT and around 6-14% at idle (assuming its a DBW stepper controlled TB).
The reading you're seeing doesn't necessarily mean there's a fault though and it's most likely a poor translation from the cars data stream to you reader. So why...
Deffo sounds like someone has tried to hide something in the vehicles history. Daveski had a similar issue with one of his 172's and that had the SMD LED's removed from the PCB of the clockset (so no warning/fault lights)... Soon got it sorted out though for him.
If there's a comms issue with...
I know our tCe is annoying at cold, especially at initial throttle application as the revs seem to dip momentarily and then you're off... It only does it once and when cold though.
I'm guessing it's map/tb related as I've never really looked in to it.

It'll be either a wiring fault somewhere in the engine bay loom or, most likely, a faulty UCH.
I've had a couple of Billibongs before do this and both needed new UCH's in the end.
Mick
I was gonna suggest the timing was wrong but if you're sure it's the lead :)
Regarding the oil, you may need to trace the wire from the sensor back thru to the clock set. I'm betting there's an error somewhere and the clock set is in open circuit meaning the light is on. Prob the same with...
It's a genuine <40k lump then that's a shame. You will pay £400 for a semi decent lump or £200 for a smoking high miler. Deffo worth belts if the person buying it is in it for the love rather than cash.
I'll drop him a pm

Re: James/BigAsh 182 Race Car by TDF... It doesn't get much better than this! *Pic He
Good job cos the wife's been furniture shopping today and we are skint!

Tony, I'm coming tooled up so I'm "race support" lol... No bill though
Re: James/BigAsh 182 Race Car by TDF... It doesn't get much better than this! *Pic He
I will second this... I'm really looking forwards to this meet now and even have permission from the wife to go and play with the "stupid boy toys" so i'll finally get to see this car perform (no pressure...
Unless there's something obvious wrong you're gonna firstly need to see what the ECU is seeing. If all there is fine then compression test it and hope for the best.
Mick
When it turns over does the engine sound "normal" eg. Has compression?
Not wanting to assume the worst but I'm thinking timing belt until you say it's got compression.
Isn't RenTec close to you or is that Portsmouth (genuinely don't know where Mike is but he's always done cracking work)?
Belts and servicing should always be carried out by competent people and that doesn't, by default, mean the dealers.
I've had a Clio III and a Scenic II in this year alone...
The first thing setting alarm bells off in my head is its a 1.2 Clio... They are plagued with electrical gremlins so take any/all advice with a pinch of salt and replace nothing without evidence it's actually faulty! (thinking of your wallet)
Firstly the throttle pedal and TPS fault.
Check...
