Oh and I think you need to mod/replace the boot struts to stop the spoiler foulling when you open the boot. The Clio trophy boot only opens to a rather dangerous eye level.

I bought mine from newcardiscount.com It was a pre-reg UK dealer supplied car. I got it for £12k. The closest a dealer near me would get was £13.6k, so essentially I saved £1600, or £2600 off list price..

Yup, idle is poxy on all RSs.
All cars benefit from frequent oil changes.
Steering is hydraulic iirc. The Cups are quite twitchy as standard.

I have more trouble 2nd to 3rd tbh.... especially whn being a bit enthusiastic. i put it down to the driving position though. To get sat comfortably behind the wheel and farenough away from the pedals, I have to stretch to put the car in 3rd. Crunches like buggery.
